Storage Solutions Suggestion need to buy hdd 1 tb

I am planning upgrade HDD , want to buy 1 TB but issue i have P4 Compaq branded PC (Presario)
will there be any problem using 1tb , and suggestions on brand...

please be quick ,,, dsperate to buy

you need to specify how old is your presario. and does it has sata connector on its motherboard? els you will have to get an ide 1tb.

You can either opt for seagate or WD as per your choise. Both are best.

Even if you don`t have sata.
You can attach 1Tb HDD to SATA to USB connector....
I got one SAMSUNG and one WD HDD....

Both of them gave me troubles many times.
I would suggest to go for 2-500Gb WD HDD.

Buy a WD Blue 1TB in my opinion

Yep the Greens are easily available.. was curious about the Blues, since Udit mentioned it.

I've always felt the Blue series are a bit more balanced .. not to mention the recent string of Green failures and the good luck I've had with my Blue.

thanks buddies got segate barbaccuda ....it is thailand make...and now the worry is after little research on web found out these thailand make hdd have higher failure rate.....keeping figures crossed till get an alternative arrangement....
