Suggestion regarding maintenance of Hitachi AC

Hello all,

I have been having non stop problems with my Hitachi 1.2 ace since 2 months. I have been getting a very very bad/foul smelling odour from the AC after few mins of usage. I called the Service centre guys they came and just cleaned the filter, grill, drain pipe etc but still the smell exists. I myself cleaned the AC interiors but no use. The best part is the service guys are coolly saying use a perfume. I was like WTF!

Please suggest me what to do ASAP guys since the smell is not letting my family (especially my kid) sleep peacefully.

A Google search says development of mould on the evaporator coil seems to cause this. More so, a lower temperature or moisture can facilitate the growth of moulds. Have you asked the Hitachi engineers to clean the innards of the indoor unit?

Where are you located?
 
@Gannu thanks for the reply, I told them to clean everything and it seemed like they did it but am not sure if they actually did it. I myself have taken the ac cover apart and cleaned the grill and drain pipe but no use... I am located in Chennai.
