Monitors Suggestions for a 24-27n monitor please?

Need one as a second screen for my Macbook 12.

Looked at the Dell P2417 which is around 15K. The U2412M is just a bit more but no HDMI. In see other brands have 27 inches air the same range. Any suggestions? The Dell P has USB ports, which I think I will use. Will they have enough power to drive external portable drives, or are they only for peripherals like mouse/KB?


Looked at Dell initially, as I have a U2713HB which I absolutely love, though I am sure the P will not be as good. Then again this one will be used only for spreadsheets, Tally, browsing etc. No video/movies.

Edit: If possible I would prefer a 16:10 ratio.

We have the Dell P2417 in our office. It's a great monitor. No backlight bleed or uneven brightness, the build is heavy and the stand remains planted. You get all sorts of adjustments in the stand. Now the best part, working each day for hours doesn't put any strain at all. The screen isn't reflective. Perhaps some Matt coating. The colours are far more accurate than my home monitor ( some LG IPS panel)
