Hi guys

Wanted suggestions for Car Audio system.
Suggest Car Deck with following funtionality
FM - MP3 - Wma - CDR/RW - Auxillary input [so i can connect my mp3 player]
Brands - > Pioneer , Sony Xplod , Blaupunkt , JBL , Alpine [available]

Speakers
2 front and 2 rear
Brands - > JBL , Sound Storm , Pioneer , Sony , Blaupunkt [available]

Please suggest ne other bands too from above.

Guys u know i aint that gr8 with judging audio so wanted ur suggestions.

Budget is max 20K

Out of the player and speaker list u can cancel the sonyxplod dey suck big time ,i had a lot of problems.sony amps and woffersare gud thou

u will have to keep 5k aside for the amp otherwise u will not use the full power of the speakers u use so i wold say go for JBL speakers (the original one u get a 1 yr warrenty )cus the rule big time say anther 5k there so ur left with 10 for ur player go for Alpine or Blaupunkt and to my knowledge JBL does not make players correct me if i am wrong,pioneer arent bad either
 
Here's a pretty decent setup.

1. HU - Pioneer DEH-5750
2. Speakers (JBL components for the front, coaxials for the rear)
3. Amp - Pioneer 6100F (4 channel bridgeable) or JBL
4. Sub - JBL 10 or 12"

YA FORGET SONY EXPLOD frm that list two MP3 car audios frm my cars had lens probs and lens was changed in both the head units. buy ne thing but sony MP3 player.
 
I had almost finalized on the pioneer deh-6850 but not sure if it supports FM and Aux input , will ask at the shop where i enquired about this systems.

Is amps compulsary , what if i add later.

This cost approx 9K actually 15K with bill.

getting this as my audio unit its fixed now.
 
Dats a very gud player my bro has it in his car n he connects his ipod n all to it n its got fm dont worry,9k is a very gud price cus he bought it for 12k without bill.

An amp is necessary specially if ur puttin JBL becoz the player does not have enough power to run 4 or even 2 speaker,ok for a short period of time.

if u play loud music den an amp is surelly necessary other wise the speakers will firstly JARRR,ad after a wile ur player ic will go once dat goes ur player is gone.

n forget about woffers,JBL have enough bass to keep u jumpin.(dat with an amp connected thou)

I have a pioneer deh-4850 (the predecessor) and Soundstream speakers, 2 components in front and 2 3- ways behind. they fckn sound awesome..

I'd recommend the speakers anytime.. I had a tough time chosing between them and JBL's. I'd suggest you go and hear those speakers out. Also go in for an amp if you can. will sound much better. As bennick says no need for a sub-woofer.

Amplifier is compulsory for High end Ovals itself.

You dont want you Deck to get screwed now do you?.

Get a 12" Pioneer 306DVC Woofer. One of the best woofers around, and awesome effect. I have to say. Great VFM too. I got it for ~Rs.5000, 3 - 4 months back.

I got myself a Sony Xplod, 440W Amp.( Only use the woofer on the Amp).

Its in my Innova, so i didnt have space for Ovals, but i replaced the 2 Front and 2 Rear door Speakers, with Round, 4-Way Speakers. Which are awesome as well.

The car is a Maruti Swift.

I saw a few amps do lemme know which are better.

Speakers will listen there personally and select.
But can you give me some good 2xfront and 2xrear speaker suggestions.
How much rms will be good enuf.
Will get JBL or Soundstorm speakers only.
No woofers.

to my knowledge JBL amps r very expensive,say in the range of 8k to 10k,pioneer are also gud but a bit cheaper ........if u want a cheap but very gud 1 u can go gor the sony 4way its around 5k,ive got dat 1 with JBL 350w(120rms not sure)mindblowing sound,,,,the swift has got the front speakers on the door rite,,,

Can some one suggest me amps for approx 5K nothing more than that.
Is pioneer 6100 better than the sony's amp.

will ask about the jbl amps also as i dont have the idea of the cost of it.

Guys waiitng for speaker recommendations.

It shall be 5.25 in the front and 6.25 in the rear.
or are ovals better at the rear.
please suggest me , am a bit confused.
this happens where there are so many options to choose from.

for the maruti swift (small internal volume) i think 2~3 W rms / per speaker for mid / high frequency is enough for fairly loud listening. 5W max or peak.

For bass and deep bass (subwoofer) 15 ~ 25 W rms should be sufficient.

NB: rms = continous rms values.
 
For a car, more imporant than the components is how you set the equilizer. Try to find a component person to do this. My friend got his deck serviced, and that idiot had set bass and treble to +6 !!! :O And as my friend only has two rear coaxs, it sounded like a rickshaw! :P
 
yes pioneer amp r better but they r also pretty expensive for nearly the same sound,,and yes ovals are better in the rear if u wat dat extra bass without the sub i would say go for the :-

pioneer deh-6850- 9k
sony 4way amp -5k (not to sure mabe less or more)
Jbl Oval rear -5k (depends on dealer to dealer)

dats more than enough so very gud sound n in front u can put tweeters.....pioneer original hardly 500 or sumtin

u will have a rockin system like i do (if tuned well)heheh

Silicon 2-channel 300W Amp for the Rear Speakers - Rs 3900

Sound Quality is amazing , I spent money on the speakers and lowered money
on the Pioneer Unit , orignally wanted a DEH 6850 [Rs 9K] which was
awesome having a OLED Display but wanted to save some money and
accomodate a Amp so went for the DEH 4850.
 
COOL.. dude.. Congratulations .. We have identical systems minus the amp.. Told you about the speakers.. I'm just in love with them !!!!
