Suggestions : Holiday for 2 in 100k :)

Guys,

Need suggestions for a location in 100k (7-8 days)
  1. I am looking at spending around 7-8 days.
  2. Trip should be abroad (I have some plans for India as well)
  3. 100k budget is including flight, lodging, food and transportation. (No shopping)
  4. I am looking to laze around in beaches, roam in bikes, and walk late nights so I am not looking at tour options (rather at good locations only where I can just roam around on my own)
  5. I have been to New Zealand, Paris, London, Malaysia and Australia so these places are NOT in the option:)

Few places which I could think of are:
  • Pattaya, Phuket
  • Mauratius

Both the above are well within my budget but I wanted to go to some other place probably more exquisite like swiss, NZ etc or someplace similar.

Any suggestion or cheap deals to a great place would be awesomly appreciated:)

Thailand have freaking lovely beaches (recommended 200% by me)

I had been to Phuket and Bangkok for my Honeymoon.

Approx 5 days in Phuket - Awesome place to laze around and see the beaches, water sports if interested. Streets filled with people in night all partying and all. I stayed near Patong beach (supposed to most crowded), but there are other serene and quiet beaches too.

Bangkok was for shopping etc and see the city and we were there for like 3 days.

Trip cost me 1.2 L including shopping.

Between Phuket and Pattaya, i recommend Phuket.

If you do not want to go to any concrete jungle then i suggest Phuket and Krabi.

Just ensure that travel is kept to minimum and no switiching destinations frequently (like those tour operators).

PS: If you go to Phuket or Pattaya DO NOT do the Jetski, they will rip you off faking damages and extort upward of 1 Lakh rupees. Local police is also involved. I read that on trip advisor and also one family living in my building had to go through this ordeal.

Btw when in Phuket / Krabi, do not forget to do the Phi Phi Island tour. Just awesome.

#[member='ronnie_gogs'] . Maya beack...u get to stay there for only 45 minutes. If I am not wrong 'BEACH' movie was shot here which gives this beach a lot of hype:). 45 mins is just too low

I have read that the James Bond Island tour is also not that great.

But if you planning on Phuket, DO NOT Book any boat tours sitting here, do it when you are there. You will save lot of money.

You also should go to that lady boy show, don't remember the name. Good show.
