Suggestions need for Budget AC

Damn its very hot and humid here in mumbai...guys please suggest me a budget AC...1.0 ton will do cause the room is small..if window ac is significantly cheaper than spit ac then i woudn't buying that either

Onida is gr8...have been usn a 1 Ton sinc a yr...no probs whtsoevr...obv not in d league of Samsung bt gud enf for d price diff... :hap2:

Also d new once r more energy efficient..! :cool2:
I wud suggest u to hav a luk at Godrej

(I knw its not d name u wud associate with Electronics...bt a cpl of my frnds got it n thier review abt it is dat its rly gud)

And

Voltas...they have been in d business for long..n they got gud low end models...

The price bracket is 14 to 18K depending on d models...

The Window AC cms for around a cpl of K less...so go for a Window if u got a cash crunch!

Look out for models from Voltas, Carrier, Blue-Star, O-General, Hitachi n Daikin.. These're cooling experts..

Friends have told me even Onida is doing good.. But forget eLGee, chamchung n all.. Develops problems over the course of usage.. Agreed some may not've so far..

Look for an AC with a good star rating.. 2-3 n above are reasonably good..

Pl invest in a good stabiliser..

not many buy carrier window ACs these days coz they tend to be unreliable ..

else you could consider voltas or samsung window ACs..

the 1.0 ton models usually come under 15k..

And I've never heard of Carrier having reliability problems so far.. Lo'l, those were the ones who invented the thing and carry the best of the brand tags in the category..
All professional organisations rely on CArrier fer the best in cooling solutions.. Ever heard of Carrier's Customer Service?? The best in the dept.. Makes some of the best rotary compressors in the mkt which even other AC manufacturers use as OEM..

LG makes d crappiest of ACs nevertheless if its a window model or a split.. Perhaps u've had a good time with ur model or ur friend must've, but on the long run the consumers end up paying a hefty bill compared to a decent model from Voltas or Carrier..

LG makes all stuff needless to mention here but ultimately each product has big time flaws.. A firm which concentrates on one concept brings out the best in them with stringent QCs..

+1 to the Samsung as well..

Pl do look up the EER and the star rating of a voltas AC before suggesting some LG thing and posting here..
