Graphic Cards Suggestions please

Hi, am looking for an upgrade for my x300se... for my A8N sli premium Mobo...

need recommendations please keeping following criteria:

1) right now LCD is Sony 17", planing to upgrade it later to atleast 19" wide with high resolution, so card should be capable

2) Vista compatible

3) 5/6K max - as I dont do gaming maybe a little AOE / AOM, but watch a lot of movies & video editing, etc - I think 7300 GT would be appropriate from whatever little I read though dont know much about the different species

Stretch it to a 7600GT, the 73gt will choke at higher resolutions.

I've heard the 76GT's are pretty cheap now around 8.5k
 
I would say wait a little. Prices are set to crash with DX10 coming. Its not a waiting game that i am asking u to play. Apply some logic since DX10 is around the corner and u can get decent card then. Or u can get some second hand card coz some techies are going to upgrade that time.

Otherwise if its urgent then expert suggestions are already there.

More than that, the GT will beat the GS by at around 40%. You can find a GS card for just about the 6k mark these days, while the GT's cost 8.5k-9k.

Prices wont reduce much in the near future. Mainstream DX10 solutions are still quite some time away, say 3-4 months at the very least. and even then the prices wont go down that much. If you need to buy one now then buy
