Suggestions Required For Good ADSL2+ and wireless Router

dealer???

just go to any computer shop and ask for buffalo, if you dont live in metros then i dont think u will get buffalo over there.

Linksys WAG200G is also a good alternative.

I have Linksys WAG200G and a Sify connection right now. I have applied for BSNL Dataone connection but I want to know if I could configure WAG200G as a switch right now with the Sify connection. The Sify connection is with a LAN rigt now. Any suggestions..?:)

hey guys!! thought il bring up this old thread to get answers for my ques:

i need to buy a wifi router for my uncles place, he as a 300 yds house an ta router would be placed in one corner an used in 1 floor below, an maybe once in a blue moon a floor above.

Now i need suggestions on which router to buy?? he has airtel broadband, an i dont even mind spending extra to get a modem+router, but as of now his plan includes a free modem (witout rent) so wat is better router or router+modem.. only benefit of router+modem i feel is tat the cables would be reduced (an one less power plug used)..

so pour in ur reccomendations.. an approx prices if u hav any idea..

thanks guys!!

Fer Pen drives,
get Corsair voyager, Buffalo, Sandisk Cruzer Micros... All are good but buffalo outwits d rest with good transfer speeds.

2Gb--> <900 bucks..
4Gb--> <1750 bucks..

:)

man.. at 1750 buffalo sounds a lil expensiv.. i read some wher bout 4gb kingstons available for like 1k.. tas y i was inclided towards buyin them.. lets c.. is the diff in transfer speeds between buffalo an kingston massiv?

Been using an Asus ADSL2+ router+modem, i think model no is AM-600ev....doesnt heat up at all!

well i went ahead an bought the buffalo G-125 today.. its the whr-g54s model only.. seems decent till now all though i had a hell of a 2 hours tryin to install it only to find out tat the reason it wasnt working was because airtels freaking network was down..

an those who are interested it set me back by rs.2050/- not bad i think.. though had to look at a lot of stores before i finally found it.. smc, c2c an computer empire all refused even when i asked if they could get it from some1 else ..

an thanks a lot to every1 who responded as well..!!

@gannu rox: buddy i also bought the pen drives today.. guess wat i got it cheaper tan i thought.. 4gb kingston for 870 bucks and 2gb kingston for 470 bucks (tat to without bargaining as i was in a bit of hurry after wasting almost an hour looking for the router).. from c2c if ur interested.
