Yes overclocking a processor means increasing the frequency of operation. E5200 is has low cache memory. To compensate with this you need to overclock the processor to gain more performance. New generation cards like 6670 are meant as starting point for gaming cards (if i am not wrong)..earlier 5670 was the one. So according to me, you will get about 4 to 5 frames difference in most games at 720p if the proccy is overclocked...GDDR5 theoretically means almost double the Bus width of GDDR3 but it doesnt imply that performance will be double . See if you buy some card lower than these cards (5670 and 6670) then at some point of time in future you will feel you have done a mistake by taking those.. At present, 6670 and 5670 are the minimum required cards for good gaming performance. 6570 will definitely work well with this processor.. Point is whats the use in getting a card which wont satisfy you while playing and believe me , when i took 8400gs i was feeling like i am on the top of the world and no one has better card than me, after playing some games My taste for eyecandy and frames got on increasing which 8400gs couldnt satisfy. Then I thought of upgrading... So I suggest you to get 6670 or 5670 or gts450(if budget permits) , those cards will atleast make you feel comfortable for coming one year ....
