Hi guys,

I already have an MX5021 for music. Now I am planning to buy a 5.1 system just for surround sound. I have to buy a sound card also. Earlier I was looking for music only (sound card) but now its better if it can serve both purpose.

X530? But members of TE said its crap. How is AL 251?

You probably have paid 8k for a very good altec lansing system....so now if you want a surround sound badly thn you have to go for something more expensive like the logitech z5300 atleast...At your budget you will find the x530 crappy because you are used to good 2.1 systems...

Ok now. You have a 7.5K worth MX5021. Now if u buy a 6K 5.1 system, You cant expect it to be better or even equal to the MX5021. So if u want a better system, inc ur budget n get a Z5300 worth 11K. That would be quite a powerfull and decent 5.1 system.
