chech out prime abgb and itwares web sites and as processor is fixed the go fo a p55good mobo inu'r range ,then ram corsair or g skill if not in budget then ocz and mushkin is some thing u should look for ......
smps vx450 from corsair as no gaming is their ...... all other products price is available out their and that should give u an idea about your rig....

You could get your self following , Since you dont do much gaming I feel the Onboard Graphics or a 5450 will suffice -

If you are going in on a 5450 - You could cut down on the Cabinet - Get a zebby bijli/ CM310 and a 500GB Harddisk.

WD Black Caviar costs 5k + A decent 22" monitor~7.5k and it will over shoot the budget

UPS - A decent 550VA from APC will cost about 2k - You can get that by cutting costs on the PC Case (get Zebronics Bijli + Normal Desktop Combo on KB and Mouse (~Rs650) - That makes for about 1.7k - 300 from some nook or cranny will make a decent 550VA UPS

But I would really really go in for an AMD Based rig -That being said - This is what you could get ... Then again let others comment on the specs which I'm providing - Since I dont want the whole unonymouz incident showing up again ...

HW Model Cost

Processor Intel Core i5-760 Lynnfield* 10000

Mobo GIGABYTE GA-H55M-UD2H 5750

RAM 2*Corsair 2GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM 4100

HDD Seagate Barracuda 1TB . 7200RPM 3000

Monitor Dell IN1720 5500

Cabinet CM Elite 430 2500

PSU Gigabyte 460W Superb 2000

Keyboard Logitech MK250 1100

ODD LG GH22NS50 1000

Total 34950

For the prices of components - You could check the following out -

http://www.theitwares.com/

http://www.primeabgb.com/

http://deltapage.com/

-The ^^ were the source of the prices

The prices in bangalore will not vary much when compared to New Delhi/Bombay/Madras just a ±Rs.100-200.

Errr........ i-5 760 doesnt have IGP. When it comes to socket LGA 1156 CPU's the motherboard doesnt have IGP.

The Core i-3 and Core i-5 6xx dual cores which are based on 32nm fab has IGP on the CPU itself and u should use it with a H-55/H-57 mobo so that u can it can make use of the processor's IGP. If u use these processors with P-55 mobo then it wont be able to utilize the IGP in the CPU.

The i-5 7xx and the i-7 8xx quads dont have any IGP embedded on them. So irrespective of whether u use it with P-55/H-55/H-57 mobo u need a discrete graphics card to hook up the monitor. Else the monitor just wont power up.

So if u are suggesting someone i-5 750/i-5 760 then a discrete GPU is a must.

(Note 2) To use the onboard D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI, and DisplayPortports, you must install an Intel CPU with integrated graphics.
GA-H55M-UD2H (rev. 1.0) - GIGABYTE

Also for someone who wants to watch HD movies and major usage is gonna be movies a 17" monitor is a no go. It will be puny infact. He definitely doesnt need a i-5 760 for his usage.

The Intel IGP is enough for HD rips. If u feel u want more graphics power then u can get a decent GPU few months down the line as there are a slew of GPU's slated to release in the next few months.

Also the HD5450 is not worth it for 3k-3.5k. The HD4650 is a much better gaming GPU for 3k. The HD4670 512MB GDDR3 ~ 3.8k would be the sweet spot for a budget, casual gamer :)

Yup its better to read on stuff we suggest. Coz ppl may end up buying them only to realize they need to spend on something more to even get the PC running.

Its really nice that u are taking time off to help others. But we should make sure that what we post is 100% right.
