Well, clearly the current generation is hooked on very different things... for the previous gen, tom and jerry was special. The only shows we could look forward to when growing up was mickey mouse, spiderman and fairy tale theater on Sundays - Fraggle rock and Didi's comedy show during the week. Cable TV came later...
 
The current generation are retards :). Who the hell can like sponge bob or other moronic cartoons? I mean Swat Kats are real.. a sponge.. is not. And then theres that bob the builder guy, don't get me started about him...-_-
 
wah wah, this thread brought back my old memories, i used to come back from school at 3.45pm, from then onwards its CN only :ohyeah: Loved power zone a lot. Let me try to remember few of the cartoons i loved a lot , Swat Kats, Centurions, Johny Quest , Space Ghost, Mightor, Moby dick, Goltar and The Golden Lance, Fantastic four, etc. etc..

More trivia:

Real adventures of Jonny quest copied a lot from ghost stories like Marie Celeste and even from 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Years ago, on DD there was even an animated fantastic four wherein the 4th hero was a robot and not sue's bro the human torch.
 
have got loads of them cartoons .....:D ..........swat kats , centurios , superman TAS , batman beyon (the future thingy) JLA , and even Flame of Recca if any1 used to watch....have been looking for one anime ,Ninku..cant find it newhere.....will ask my sis to chk out in London or sumthin .:D

totally...!!

the cartoons & the comix were just fab man.. teh atmosphere which was built around bruce was jus soo surreal.. unlike many other toons nd superheroes, the element of fantasy wasnt there in batman..

Yeah..... I had almost forgotten abt Space Ghost and Mightor and bird man !! They were those fillers in between the actual cartoons and I used to wait so eagerly for it !! I loved Fantastic Four too.....

Jesus, bird boy looked gay. I was a fan of that space ghost/galaxy trio type of cartoons. Would convert my room into a flight deck complete with the map of the world, a pencil box as the steering wheel and other random shit.
 
Btw, someone remember Vantush ke Fantush, Mowgli, Captain Vyom and Shaktiman on DD? I spent half a year watching that stuff and it seemed nice when we did'nt have cable installed.
