Gigapxl Project has lots of photos taken with gigapixel cameras (bet u guessed it :)) This one covers a lot of cities too and offers some cheesy zoom views.

I dont think that 715MP camera actually exists......

My guess is that it is a series of pics taken with a 10 or maybe even a 24MP cam and then made into ONE big pic.... Something like the way google earth/MSN virtual earth work.....
 
They make custom cameras for such work. The link i gave in my previous post has a lot details on the method they used. Quite a good read.
