I wanted to know how to identfy the problem with the system. Th system worked fine till late evening yestrday but today moring its...... alive/dead?
When the system is powered on the is no Beep sound (single), or POST is not done. I do not get anything on the display neither the Keyboard or the Mouse respond.
The CPU fan is running, the hard disk activity too is there as i can hear the HDD head coming to a halt when i long press the power button for shutdown.
I use a USB speaker setup as its a D/L rig, it too is powered on.
As a basic step i removed my Ram and cleaned the contacts with a cloth and cleaned the slots on the motherboard and plugged it in and still no response.
The motherboard too has a VGA pin, i tried powering it through this, no luck

Intel P4 1.8Ghz,
Jetway P4M266 (Socket 478)
Transcend DDR 400Mhz
Generic 315Watt PSU
Segate 40GB, WD 250GB IDE
XFX 6200 AGP 8X
