Hi
Let us discuss how well we are able to run games with our confis etc.

NFSU2 demo
Bare acceptable-1280*1024,highest ,no aa/af manually switched on and aa driver to app preferance, i can play at this
better at 1024*768

ut2004,i can't hear gun shooting sound,
1280*1024,highest

doom3
no aa
1280*1024,ultra high
 
Gameplay > Eyecandy, certain games are played to the limit with some of the grafix options turned down, and I must say you have got an impressive rig :)
 
Why don't you post FPS along with your Rig and the Game like this :

Doom 3 1024x768 67fps with 4xAA 4xAF.

Will post more scores later.

hmm by discussing which games run on which configs i think many people can be helped here.. in purchasing the games they would like to buy but would wanna confirm whether or not that game would support the particular rig or no..
hmm i have a 6600 gt.. hehe. so i do`nt need to worry about this for sometime now.
and hmm MOHPA -->: playing at 1280*1024*60 hz, AA- 8xs, AS - 16x , vsync - on
doom 3 same settings -- vsync off
 
Everything at 1280x960, 4xaa, 8xaf, hi quality mode.
If I get performance problems then 2xaa, haven't felt the need to drop below that yet.

Only underground2 didn't run as good as I would like on those settings, but the game didn't last longer than 15min. of my harddrive anyway.
 
with your system how did you manage to play at those settings

even my rig can't manage that

I don't want a constant 60fps, I am happy if I can manage an average 40fps.
And I hate jaggies.

Also don't know if many people know this but there's not a big performance hit between 1024x768 4x aa and 1280x960 2x aa while the improvement in image quality is huge.
 
Yeo 1280x960 does look good but my monitor dosent have too good refresh rate at that resolution.
And at that resolution i get desy. I dont know why but i dont feel anything at 1024x768 but at soon as i go above that on my 17" i get nautious.
No problems wht so ever on my brother's LCD though.
Its odd. I am still not able to find the reason for it. Maybe its bcoz of low refresh rates.

About games. every single game i have tried including NFSU2, HL2, POPSOF, DOOM3, PES4, FIFA04 was perfectly playable at 1024x768 4XAA and 8XAF.
I dont play with fraps on so dont ask me for FPS.(unless recoarding video)
It feels smooth. Thats what matter.
