Wassup fellas.

XT, deejay et all would be knowing the kinda bad luck am having with my system and replacements, have given up and want a cheap rig within 24k. I am outta touch frm prices and the hardwares rt now so would be great if you guys gave me a break up.

PCIE slot is a must, not the card though, dont want speakers rest all I want.

A64 3000+ or 3200+ (3K or thereabouts)
Biostar 6100 motherboard with integrated graphics - 3.5-4K
1GB DDR - 5K

160GB HDD - 3K
17" monitor - 5K

rem for cabinet + PSU

All prices approximate, of course.
 
Hmm was wondering if I could squeeze in an E6300 somehow with 512mb RAM etc...

Doesnt look possible, also what are the RAM prices last I heard DDR 400 was arnd 3.5k for 512 mb !! DDR 2 seems to be getting the cut these days, AM2 supports ddr 2 nah ?
 
You can manage to squeeze in an E6300 for 24k... you'd have to skimp on the motherboard and monitor for now however, maybe get something better later.

And yes, AM2 also requires DDR2 memory.

Dont tell me that 512 mb of RAM is for 3.5k now.:huh:
 
Oh, even ddr2 has gone steep , about a month back transcend ddr2 533 was about 2.1k

DDR2 prices should fall down , ddr1 wouldnt
 
One of the dealers in Bangalore said both would drop in the near future... let's hope he is right.
 
which platform you want to build C2D or AMD socket 939.?
pm me and we will design the system as per ur requirement.
The ram price is 2950/- (may be 50 less) @ prime for 512mb.
LG DVD writer is 1850/-
 
^^ Hmm after the telecon ;)
I have 2 choices Socket 939 or Socket AM2, which do u guys suggest and why, and yes price:performance is the criteria here. I am fed up with Asus and its service so if there are any other alternate mobo companies with a better after sales support, there goes my money.

Also is it true that if ur mobo under warranty becomes kaput due to natural reasons ( no ocing here) and these dumfuks dont have a replacement will give you a mobo worth 50% of the original price !!! Damn those neoteric &*(^%*(&%^
