IINM AthlonII X4 645 costs close to 6k ($116 in newegg) and is not worth it at that price point with the 635 priced so low. Instead if the OP is able to find the AthlonII X4 640 for ~5k then its a good buy as he is assured a C3 stepping that way :)

how much is d difference in performance between

Phenom II x945 and AthlonII X4 640

i was kinda planning to buy 955 but out of budget ..

and how is CM 335 cabinet?? ...

it uses tool free mechanism for HDD and Cd drives ..

look at:

u'll get an idea

ur welcome

1.alternate is to buy kingston ram around 3.2k

2.instead of cm 335 i'll recommend cm elite 370(Tool-Free) around 2.1k

3.Aoc monitors have good build quality but A.S.S. of dell is better than any other brand dell 22" around 8.5k and led one 8.9k

i'd go for x2 555 ! unlockable to x4 ! + 850gma@9.8k

2gb ddr3@1.6k

aoc 22" @ 6.8k

cm elite 335 @ 1.8k

total 20k !

upgrade to 4gb later :)

i have the exact same config except 5770 !

and im v happy :)

I will suggest a 20" monitor as u have a 5750. For enjoying games at full HD u need a 5770 atleast. With 5750 u will need to lower the details at full HD. Also another reason is that with the saved money u can get a better mobo.

AMD Athlon II x4 640 @ 5.2k
Gigabyte GA 880GM UD2H @ 4.5k
Corsair 2GB DDR3 1333MHz @ 1.8k
NZXT GAMMA @ 2k
DELL S2009W 20" @ 6.5k

Total - 20k

@jaskanwar ..

22" LCd is a must for me ... but the mobo that u have mentioned has great config..

@wizzkid

how can x2 be unlocked ... and will unlockin lead to warranty issues ??

@vip

Athlon is outdated compared to phenom ...?? phenom is d latest range of proci right ??

The PhenomII and the AthlonII is the latest range from AMD. Both are based on the K10.5 architechture IINM and are 45nm fabs.
The X2 unlocking is a gamble. It may not unlock too. Technically unlocking cores voids warranty. But practically unless u dont specify anything about unlocking etc... during RMA u should be fine IMO.

Bench - CPU - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News ~ Athlon II 635 vs. Phenom II 555 B.E.

The quad core Athlon II is a quick and comes close in most single thread apps but pulls ahead in multi threaded ones easily, all benches are on stock so it is much more worth to go for a Athlon II until you want to risk Unlocking your 555 B.E. ~ 75% succes rate from most online forums and it clearly voids your warranty and I doubt they will accept it on RMA

I would recommend the NZXT Gamma in that price range add another 120mm fan and you get a decent cabinet which looks good, great performance and awesome airflow ( easily packs up the Cooler Master Elite series till the Elite 430 ) ~ 2.5K

Unlocking the 555 B.E. to a quad core is too great a risk if you are nt ready to risk your PC and voiding your warranty not to mention stability issues if it doesn't unlock properly, so my vote goes for the Athlon II x4 635/640/645 :)

revised config

Athlon II x4 635 4.8k

Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H asus M4A78LT-M LE 2.7k(as u have discrete gpu) 4.5k/2.7k

Corsair DDR-III Memory 4GB 3.6k

cm elite 370 2.1k

total 15k/13.2k

Monitor: AOC 2236Vw 7.5k dell st2210/ST2220L 8.8k/8.9k

Thanx for d advice guys ...

and this is my final config .. if any changes need to be made then please post it ..

Athlon II x4 640 5.2K

Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2h 4.5K

Corsair DDR3 4gb 3.6K

Cm Elite 370 / NZXT GAMMA still confused over cabinet .. 2.2K

Total 15.3K :(.. too costly . ..

Can u guys suggest me a good monitor under 8k ?? ..

Try searching for the BenQ GHD 2200 ( 21.5" monitor with HDMI and DVI-out ) it wa around 7.5K + last I checked you would not get a decent 22" mo0nitor below 8K ( in my view ) untill it is second hand, hope it helps :)
