System not booting through Flash Drive

I have a Corsair Voyager 4 GB pen drive , i installed puppy linux on it following the instructions on its web site , however when i try to boot my old PC through it (HP dx2700 , Intel Q963 based mobo) , I get a message saying Boot Error , however the same pendrive runs smoothly on a Dell Laptop , so its not a problem with the pen drive / OS . I tried looking around in the BIOS settings but couldnt find anything related to this . USB boot is turned on

Any suggestions ?

Old PC. Are you sure it supports booting from flash drives?

The BIOS specially has an option to boot from USB devices and also it displays USB-HDD in the boot menu

Try if making the pen drive using unetbootin helps

u can use HP disk format tool as it also have feature to edit the boot sector.for pen drive
