Just found the system specs of the upcoming STALKER game.
It supports full DX10 and seems to look better than Crysis so the needs are also on the higher side.

Take a look at the specs:

Minimal requirements:
- Windows XP (Service Pack 2)/Windows 2000 SP4
- Processor: Intel Pentium 4 2.0 GHz / AMD XP 2200+
- RAM: 512 MB
- 10 GB free hard drive space
- 128 MB Direct X 8.0 compatible graphics card / Geforce 5700 / Radeon 9600

Recommended requirements:
- Windows XP (Service Pack 2)/Windows 2000 SP4
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 / AMD 64 X2 4200+-
- RAM: 1.5 GB
- 10 GB free hard drive space
- 256 MB Direct X 9.0c compatible graphics card / GeForce 7900 / Radeon X1950

Optimal requirements:
- Windows XP (Service Pack 2)/Windows 2000 SP4
- Processor: Intel Core2 Duo E6700 / AMD 64 X2 5200+
- RAM: 2 GB
- 10 GB free hard drive space
- 512 MB Direct X 9.0c compatible graphics card / GeForce 8800 / Radeon X2900

Extreme requirements:
- Windows Vista (Service Pack 1 required)
- Processor type: Intel Core2 Duo E8500 / AMD 64 X2 6000+
- RAM: 4 GB
- 10 GB free hard drive space
- Direct X 10 compatible graphics card with 512 MB VRAM / Geforce 9800 GX2 / Radeon HD 3870 X2

I remember seeing the review of Stalker on the net once....the Graphix of the game look uber cool...but i still think Crysis is a notch ahead when it comes to graphix....:)

dont tempt me...

saving money for other necessities in life... dont tempt me... oh great with so many games lined up this year....

buying a powerful gfx card + smps takes priority.. ;-)

Yes, the russian version has been released.

But, is the demo out? Somewhere had read there won't be a demo for this.
 
the Russian version has been out for a few days now.....and ppl in some forums are saying its really...really buggy....and very poorly optimized....lets hope for the best
 
the european version will be out on the 5th ..the north american is having probs coz they forgot to give the cd-key with the box ...
