Ok so I bought myself a T.sonic 610 a month or so ago. And now its starting to have some problems. I have about five diff folders of music in there. After a glitch where it froze in a certain folder for more than once and I had to reset it now it just wont show any files in these folder (except two folder which are fine). The files are present there I can see them in My computer. It wont let me delete these folder either. Also the files are still occupying the space even though Tsonic says the folder is still empty.

Should I take it back for repairs or is there anything else I can do? Help please.

try reinstalling the firmware. save the files elsewhere , and try reinstalling the firmware from the CD and format the data area too :)

I don't care about the files they are already there on my HD and I can copy them back. But wont Formatting void the warranty??

rofl no. the CD that comes with the player has the application to recover the player. its 100% allowed. sorta like reinstalling windows :)

Excellent! I was dreading taking it back to the shop.

Alright will try that tonight and report back tommorow.

Thanks.

dude just do a clean format like u'de do for a floppy drive i've been using a T610 for almost a year now i dont find any problems with it
anymore questions u can ask me
anyways which firmware are u using 3.4 or the 3.0 AFAIK the 3.0 is a stable one and the 3.4 has some glitches in it i'de advice u to switch to the 3.0 firmware

arrey baba dont format the T 610. Transcend specifically says that formattin it will erase some "hidden settings file" in the player. After that the player will be useless. I have a T 610 and i have read this in the manual. Dont format it. just give it to the company or somethin. rather . .. reinstall the firmware thru the CD which u got with the player.
