Tablet pricing trend ?

I was planning to buy a tablet.Either Samsung Galaxy 10.1 or Ipad 3.I have never followed the pricing pattern of tablets.So those of you who know,did the previous ipad 2 and samsung tablets showed price decreases ? And how long did it take for the changes?
I am asking about the Indian Market.

Dunno about that Samsung tablet but, Apple tablets reduce in price when the next iteration comes out. Ie, when ipad4 will come out, iPad 3's price will reduce.
