Tablet with external hard drive support?

Guys,

My cousin wants to buy a tablet with the sole intention of watching TV shows, movies etc while traveling. What tablet would you guys suggest he buy?

His main requirement is that it should support a 1TB 2.5" external HDD through USB. He has loaded all the stuff he needs on this drive.

Other requirements:

10.1" good quality screen

decent speakers

Good battery life

Budget: 25k

He doesn't mind spending extra but would lilke to limit it to 25k.

A few options i've suggested:

Toshiba Thrive 10.1

Acer Iconia A500

Can you guys suggest something better? He definitely doesn't want a 7" tablet so the Playbook is out. The Ipad doesn't support external HDDs so that is out as well.

Well, apparently the power output of a tablet isn't sufficient to power a 1TB hdd. Any other storage devices which use less power but can store large quantities?

Are you referring to the Transformer Prime or the older Transformer 101?
