Tata Broadband Prepaid & wireless router

I recently got a wireless router - Linksys WAG54G2 - which is an ADSL+ modem + router.

I want to use this with a Tata prepaid bb connection, to be used between a total of 3 computers; 2 wired desktops and a laptop via wireless. The connection uses a web-login. The connection is given directly thru a cable, so there's no modem involved.

Could someone please guide me as to how to set up the router correctly? The problem is that this particular device doesn't have a WAN port, instead it has a telephone jack port, and 4 ethernet ports. Tinkering with the settings y'day required a factory reset.

What I've done so far:

is connect the main cable into Port 1, then my PC to Port 2. It uses my previous NIC settings to connect to the web-login page (as before) after which my connection works just fine. [I thought that if I input the IP settings directly into the router itself, the NIC would automatically grab the settings. Apparently not!] However connecting PC2 to Port 4 didn't work out. The connection wasn't shared to PC2.

Essentially:

Cable -> Port 1
Port 2 -> PC1 [works with IP settings applied]
Port 4 -> PC2 [doesn't work, NIC configured to automatically get settings]

My current setup is as such:

Cable -> PC1 [NIC 1] [ICS enabled]
NIC2 -> Switch [8 port]
Switch -> PC2 [wired]
Switch to Laptop [wired]

I want essentially the same setup, except for a wireless connection to the laptop. With the current setup, PC1 has to be turned on for ICS to work, as well as to login to my account.

What I need to know:

Which router mode to use?
How (and which) settings to configure?
Is it possible to have the router automatically login from the web-login page? (I don't think this is possible)
Will the router work when the main PC is turned off, and still share the bb?
