Tata Indicom Night Unlimited Stopped!!!

Hey guys guess what they have stopped the night unlimited plan.Only those who have applied for it will get it..Now its no more available.. the sad thing is that when ur limit expires you cannot renew on the same one..like i have subscribed for the 6 month night unlimited prepaid plan, once that is over is, have to take a new plan that is currently on with them..

Had called the customer care they told me they have temp suspended it because of some server probs.But the guy who installed it said they r doin it permanently and would not be restoring the night unlimited!! The good thing is i have 5 months left!!!:eek:hyeah: :eek:hyeah: :eek:hyeah: But the bad thing is Wht after 5 months!!!!!:huh: :huh: :huh: :huh:
 
i just confirmed...if you renew your subscription you wont be getting the night unlimited!!!

looks like the dream bubble has finally gone bust....

Edit : It seems if you can continue having balance in your account or you dont let your account get deactivated (i.e have no balance or dont renew before the expiry) you'll be able to continue using the night unlimited. The logic is that since the night unlimited plan isnt available for new subscription if you let you account get deactivated all services with your account also get deactivated.So your night unlimited is also deactivated and you wont be able to re-activate it.
But if you keep your account active you can continue using the night unlimited....
 
i got the dumbest stuff said to me ... i had a 512 unlimited and i guess i abused it badly that they disconnected the line and then gave me an explanation saying the switches are stolen on apts and they wont give me a connx until police finds out who..... after a lot of threatening they sent back a refund :p... amazing ... sorry nothing to do with tata night time ..just tata isp
 
yeah , sucks so bad .. at the rate i am using it . mine expires in the next month or so :(

i guess its no biggie as i have download most what i want to keep me going for a few months . i ll shift to something that offers me good pings for gaming i guess . internet surfing and basic downloads should be no issue , the only thing i will miss are the speeds :(
 
^^ u can apparently continue using it if you keep your account active including the night unlimited feature...

But i guess only time will tell if its true or not...my account is up for renewal at the end of this month...

hmm... let's see if i hear u correctly... suppose i make sure i always have a new renewal plan in queue before the expiry of my current balance, does that mean i can still get night unlimited once the renewal plan in my queue kicks in?
 
^^yup thats what i got from the CC...
he said dont let your account or the night unlimited feature get deactivated (since it cant be reactivated) and you can keep on using it till any further notice
 
seems that these companies introduce unlimited high speed plans just to attract a new stock of customers, once they complete their target, their are done...

will this pathetic condition of broadband in India ever gonna improve ?????
 
Hopefully this doesn't become a trend.
Maybe they have finally wisened up to the fact that people download way more with NU every day all the while paying only half of the Unlimited schemes? :p

Can u explain it little further

my acc expires on 26th Nov and my balance is 855..

So u mean to say that i wont be able to use Night Unlimited after 26th october...

I am totally confused what u meant and what can be done to avoid it.. :ashamed: (Dumb of me)

Well lets use your account status as an example....u have Rs 855 as current balance and your current validity is till 26th Nov.

Now consider this...your account will be deactivated (although temporarily) if your account has Rs 0 as balance or if you dont renew before 26th Nov.
When this happens all the services associated with your account are also deactivated (eg : net telephony , night unlimited etc). But since the night unlimited plan isnt available for new subscription you wont be able to activated it even if you renew your account in the above scenario. (i.e after you have Rs 0 balance or renew after 26th Nov)

Another scenario where the night unlimited will be deactivated is if you dont have sufficient balance to renew is every month i.e Rs 99. So if your night unlimited is up for renewal at the end of the month and u dont have a min of Rs 99 in your account only the night unlimted will be deactivated but not your account. And again you wont be able to reactivate the night unlimited since its not available for new subscription.

But if you renew your account before the expiry of your current validity and have sufficient balance you should be able to continue using the night unlimited feature.
PS : all the above info is based on the info given by the TATA CC....

my account is up for renewal at the end of this month including the night unlimited....thats when the truth will be out i guess.
 
I don't use TATA but I am curious to which plan you guys are talking about. what's the speed you get with Night Unlimited?

yes it has been stopped i renewed long back today was due date and now there is no subscribe night unlimited button. I enquired to nodal officer of bangalore he told that it has permanently stopped.
