Hey guys,

I am pretty thorough with the settings of torrent clients respective to upload speed, max connections per torrent, global connections, and upload slots.

I had a 1mbps connection and got download speed of around 95-110kbps. I just upgraded to a 1.5mbps connection with 512 upload. My download speeds have increased, but not buy much. I'm getting speeds of around 115-120 kbps, shouldn't I be getting about 130-145kbps?

Can you guys tell me what the best torrent settings on utorrent would be? I have a Windows Vista Home Edition 64-bit computer running on a Intel i7 920 with 6 gigs of ddr3 and 1.5tb hd space.
 
Theoretically you should be getting 187 kBps download speed. Try a HTTP download that you know is not locked at a certain speed. That includes RS free download. Try downloading from a HTTP location or check the speed using speedtest.net
 
your speeds should be much more. check http download speeds.

also just to let you know the connection is called unlimited but it has FUP. i think the monthly limit is 50gb or 70gb.
 
Nope it's 110gb per month, which is more than enough. I pay 2750 taxes not included for this download. So download from something like download.com? Speedtest.net gives me unbelievable inaccurate results. I get 11mbps download and then 51 kbps upload.

Can anyone tell me what the best settings to use on utorrent would be for this connection?

Ok, getting speeds of about 175 kbps downloading from cnet.com. Downloaded the latest divx version.
 
11 mbps... Speedtest always works for me. Dunno what is wrong in ur conn :S
Anyway since cnet downloads is showing at 175 ur good :)
 
I'm getting 175-180 on the connection...Downloading a torrent of Watchmen Ultimate Directors Cut. What is T1? The only options available, are 1mb, 2mb, 10, 20, 40, 50, 100mbps. What would constitute as a T1 connection?
 
Well hello to everyone.if u getting that amount of speed then simply i would suggest u to go to utorrent trackers tab.and now right click and go to add trackers after doing that u can find some trackers are in "udp".change them to "http".then click ok and check the speed hope it would be ok.and still not done then add some trackers which will give u speed.
