tata night unlimited?

i'm planning to get tata indicoms night unlimited plan as bsnl billing sucks. i'll try to get atleast 6 months as i dont want them to stop it in 1 month or so(night unlimited 299). so time based plan has to be Quick Power 300-5,670/- and 299*6=1796.so a total of 7466 rs:@ is it a worthwhile investment. i'm planning to download torrents and gaming:clap: . so how is the speed at night and also the ping??? i'm in kerala
 
BSNL billing doesnt suck. Its very transparent AFAIK.
Even if there is a problem in bill, it can be easily corrected

reg: TATA night unlimited, its worth the money ( even the damn doubling of prices :@ ) if u want lots of downloads to happen day after day

It can hit constant 200Kb DL speed all the time

I would prefer BSNL H500 to TATA with this current prices

they said there is no xtra charge for night unlimited its kind of deducted from that 5760 rs which i paid earlier for 6 months. its just a matter of activating and no need to pay any xtra amount ...is that true can any one confirm that
 
night unlimted is not inclusive of net plan charges

Its optional, 299 will get deducted every month from your balance, if u opt for it
 
what balance ...is that initial amount is something excess i'm paying. for eg is that 5760 got 6 months 300 hours usage and also they r taking some advance from me. and the advance will be used if only i activated night unlimited. otherwise it get transferred to renewing the pack after 6 months!!!!!!!!!
 
dude, whatever details i have stated above was for the Old 180/360/720 time based plans,
The new ones should work the same way unless the ISP planned to screw otherway

say one buys 180 plan - total value 1800, mrp 1922

his opening balance is 1800 rs for 3 months, which comes to about 180 rs

if opted for 299 NU, then 299rs / 33 hrs will get deducted immediately
balance 147 hrs he will have in this balance

Next month, another 33 hrs will get deducted
So, if opted for NU for 3 months, then ur effective daytime browsing hours will be 180 - 3*33 = 81hrs

hope its bit clear :)
 
only 81 hours for 3 months and thats too for old plan, what about new plans 150&300. this is the most confusing plan i ever heard but u made it a lot clear pal, thanks a lot. and how u calculated 299 with 33 hours will be deducted from 1 month. and also they increased 1000 rs for the same plan with a reduction of 30 hours. so only the hours get reduced & no money need to be given extra ...rt.
 
ok so if i activated night unlimited plan they will charge 299 from my account but actually that 1800 rs is something they are asking for 3 months usage and if they are taking 299 from my account for activating NU .....the same should be credited back to me after 3 months if i did not activate NU????
 
LOL, yes its most confusing tariff plan i have come across, took me sometime to understand it

and i stated the amount 1800 as approximate - dont know correct plan value

it maybe 17**, so 299 amounts to about 33 hrs

I have no idea how the new plan conversions work, perhaps some other peeps using this plan can answer that better

Best is, before u take the connection, ask that isp agent to sit down and clearly explain the plan and how to NU hours get deducted.
Dont speak to CC, its downright pathetic...no use at all

and also, go for ADSL connection and NOT CABLE

one more tip: dont follow up with their customer care on any issues, its for no use, u will waste ur time
 
I think before we used to pay 1922 for QP 180 now they increased the price and kept the validity as same. In QP 180 actual usage is calculated on rs 1800(+Taxes=1922), now u will get higher value but validity is same...so u can browse for more hours...I hope i m not wrong
 
i dont know what qp 180 is, as in their site its quick power 150 now....might be 180 is an older plan. they charge QP150 2993. they will deduct 299 each month with some hours(33 hours as per pcgamer in QP180) in day browsing but u wont be paying anything extra the deduction of 299 is just for namesake, but u r not getting any money back if u didnt activate night unlimited. i dont know if its credited back if i recharge it after 3 months which is the duration of QP150. can someone throw some light on this.....
 
Hi

I am using Airtel BB 256kbps unlimited for Rs 674 (Inc STax). Is this better than Tata?? Tata was asking me Rs 1000 one time extra for static IP whichh is mandatory.

ALso I learnt that Tata is doing a softlaunch for IPTV. ANd their BB customers will get it Free initially.

BTW - Am also told that BigTV will be coming with a Diwali offer where they will offer LCD TV Free with a Bg TV connection and are doing a softlaunch f IPTV.

So am really spoiled for choices :)
