I had got my TS HD Connected to Sony DAV-DZ870W via Digital Coaxial cable

I had been using it since 1 yr ++, sound quality for HD channel was awesome, with nice deep bass and good surround sound.

But since 1 week, i am seeing, that there's no bass coming from the woofer, and also the sound quality has dropped to 60% of the original which i used to have earlier :(.

I checked my dvd player playing content with USB drive, and DVD too, and everything is playing fine

I am really unable to identify whether the TS HD Box has gone kaput, or is it HT Amplifier Coaxial port :(

can anyone please help me to rectify the problem

Use analog coaxial port and try. In the speaker specs, I saw it had bass boost or something. Is it off or on?

where is analog coaxial port ??? , are you talking about RCA ??

I had tried with Bass boost off and on, even set the dvd player to default setting, still no help :(

I meant spdif port above the digital coax port. It's next to component outputs. Has an orange colour to it. RCA audio outputs are red and white.
If TataSky digital coax port went bad you wouldn't get any sound from it.
See if settings in TataSky audio has been changed. It should be dolby digital for both spdif and hdmi.

@6pack, mine one is old HD box, which didn't came with spdif port, the new one use to come with :(

already checked setting in the TS, already have dolby digital for both digital and hdmi :(

Buddy
Have any one played around with the settings.?
If you change the settings to analogue or TV sound or direct, you won't get the proper base or sometimes not even signals to your subwoofer as you have connected it with a Digital Cable.
If not, then try testing the cable, or just plug in normal RCA (Stereo) cable and try playing it. You will come to where exactly the issue is.

Oh. Can you try with another digital coax cable or another tata sky hd box from someone you know?

Such bass/volume issues wouldn't be caused due to a bad coaxial cable since the signal is digital. It would either work or it wouldn't. Interference may be an issue but this one doesn't sound like it.

This one looks like someone messed with the settings in the STB. I'd suggest the OP to reset the settings from the STB or check the audio settings from the OSD.

called TS, there seems to be some issue , since from yesterday morning the HD channels went off :(

called TS, they replaced the LNB ( the thing which is put in dish), and now everything working flawlessly :D :D
