Tata to Now Launch 100Mbps Broadband Service in Mumbai

Normal people won't buy that. That package can be used in offices where the connection will be probably shared by over 50 computers. And most offices do have a strict "No-Download" policy.

They're obviously hoping that there are enough fools out there who would go for such plans...... I certainly hope and pray that they are wrong.....

^^ Even with simple browsing over 50 computers over a 100 Mbps line will get more than 30 GB. Unless Websense etc are enabled, in which case there is no point of a 100 Mbps line. Watching videos / browsing flash heavy pages also uses up significant bandwidth I think.

Ya there will be a cap of 10 GB on this connection also :P

Do they think that earlier when my page suppose used to load take 0.02 second...now with this it will take 0.0002 second...would i really be able to figure it out???

On the contrary if a page takes time to load we get an idea their is some large content on it..and we can stop it.....

Here it will be like ohh gosh i downloaded 10mb frm this site and i was never able to know....

Dont worry i guess now soon this all speed war wont make any difference......FUP will be there....but we will see war in it...say 15gb than 30 gb and than so on.....i guess in another 1 year this type of stuff will come up

Wow!! Now my email will open REALLY BLAZING FAST!!

Seriously, these damn schemes come with some fark-all download limit which completely defeats the purpose of getting a fast connection in the first place..

Oh wait? 10% discount for students?! Hooray! Now the guy who couldn't afford 10,500 a month will only have to pay 9450 :S
