Car & Bike Tatra trucks for Indian Army

Hi All,

The Indian Army is planning to buy these trucks...have a look....the trucks have a very good ability to overcome any obstacles.

cool.......how was the ride quality...after watching these videos i feel like riding in one of them....not getting an opportunity though....
 
These trucks are made near my house itself! in the BEML Factory..

They have around 1km of empty stretch where they test these Tatra's at pretty high speed...
 
^i went there for an interview, saw the test drivers driving the trucks.

saw different type of tatra's

4x4, 6x4, 8x8

btw, didd you know, these trucks have massive AIR cooled engines.

can run on multi-fuel.

diesel, petrol, kerosene...

i got to sit as passenger in a tatra simulator at 2009 aero show :D
the sim. gfx was worse than Half Life 1 :p
 
I think if we are talking about the defence forces, then the TATA can also think of providing the Manza to the elite people. Its after all a premium sedan and made for chauffeur driving. Check this .. 360 View .. it does signify class and luxury ..

Afaik, Mahindra doesn't make any army trucks. The closest thing is probably the AXE apart from the good old jeeps.

And A&L's army trucks look way better than the majority of the sh1tty buses and trucks you see in the city. :p
 
A&L army trucks are actually Iveco.
not much of an indian input :p

we have brains, but the govt. is not using it.:mad:

i think every single Army vehicle, artillery.... is imported. :no:

apart from AXE they do have "BOLERO" & "ARMADA" they are rugged and are capable of providing a very good service in the army however they do need little modifications.....

Well, that's a no brainer. Most of their army trucks do resemble IVECOs.

Err...We are talking about ARMY TRUCKS here. :p
And I was simply pointing out the models that ARE actually used by the army.

Do they make it at the plant near the bagmane tech park? Its not big enough I think, must be only assembly line. TATRA has a plant at Hosur I guess.
