Tcp/ip Confg Bsnl Broadband Chandigarh

hi guys...i know this is a very nob question..but pl tell me the TCP/IP con for Broadband in Chandigarh..as someone told me if i set the correct setting i will get the full speed as at now am getting only 170 K max..i know if my EXCH to my home diffrence is more then 2 KM there will be some drop..but if anyone know the settings..may be that works for me...

BSNL autoconfigures everything, You dont hav to touch a thing..You cant do anything abt the speed

well you can try opendns...it will shorten lookup time for sure...but as for download speed..i am afraid you cant to anything ! it solely depends on the condition of your landline connection and also the telephone exchange

yes...once address is resolved.....your speed totally depends on your line..nothing can b done in tcp/ip config...as spitfire said...it just speeds up lookup.
