i have xp 64bit os installed, and get around 25-35 Kbs on my 256k bsnl broadband connection.
i tried to patch the tcp/ip half connections limit to 50 but i still get the event id 4226 error.
seems that the tcpip in xp 64 cant be patched?? even when the patcher says that the file is patched i get the error
then i read in utorrent forum that the patch is not necessary and utorrent will still download at full speed. only thing is that browsing and downloading through other progs will become lot slower.
also read abt a program cFosSpeed - a traffic shaping prog that eliminates the patching... but its not free
so how do i patch or should i forget the patching alltogether?
any1 using a patched xp x64 professional and has successfully patched his tcpip and not getting error, pls help me
