Since yesterday night no drop down menu's like "Quick Links" & "Search" & editing stuff like Bold etc... do not work on Firefox but does on Opera, IE8, Chrome, Avant & Safari

Though the weird thing is that other vBulletin Sites having drop down menu's like Xtreme Systems & E r o d o v work on Firefox

can you mention the exact version of FF and which OS ??? works for me on older FF 3.0 on windows and newer FF 3.5 on linux :) also, got any fancy addons like JS or ad blockers...

Firefox 3.5.2 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64
no fancy add-ons like JS
ad block plus there but that was always there
on 7 since 28th July but it stopped working only yesterday

Everything is running dandy on FF 3.5.2 (Win7 x64 here) and FF 3.0 (XP SP3) here. Please report OS, FF version and any extensions you've installed.

@Udit: It's just a hunch... but try once disabling "Adblock Plus: Element Hider Helper" extension.

OT: which theme are you using for your FF?

ok since you mention it started only yesterday can you think what you did or what happened yesterday that might affect it?

like did you install some other software (which might install the sneaky MS .NET helper addon into firefox) or change some other "unrelated" setting somewhere else or something like that?

something something...

@iGo,
tried disabling "Adblock Plus: Element Hider Helper" extension once ... no use
theme is CarbonFox from Personas for Firefox | Gallery
@vishalrao,
I was watching the tv show 90210 all day yesterday & installed KMPlayer, CoreAVC & Haali Media Splitter
Uninstalled Java Update 14 & Installed Java Update 16 & Definition Update for Windows Defender today

nothing done in Firefox other than p0rn in 2 days

try reinstalling FF

also check EventManager if you remember exact time when this occurred to you for the 1st time.

tried already :(

Sometime back I encountered same problem with 3-4 sites that I regularly visit and after trying all measures the problem was not going at all. I just started hitting Report Broken Web site :P and as soon as the next version was released the problem was gone :P - Believe Me :):

done
now hoping it's solved soon

You said you removed Java updates. If I'm not wrong, you can keep multiple versions of Java runtime updates... I'm not sure if that matters, but I can't think of any other system activity that you performed related to browser.

Alternatively, try disabling Java plugin from "Tools > Addons > Plugins" tab.
