Thanks everyone for taking part in the contest.

Should those points be considered at the time of voting??
Requisite for choosing the entries for the contest -

^^Winners will be decided by a mixed results from both staff and members poll.

Ofcourse these mentioned points are the key stones while deciding the winners.

Voting a listed candidate is upto you. We will not force anyone to vote according to our criteria. However those listed points should be considered while making the decision.

Should those points be considered at the time of voting??

Definitely but not mandatory. For instance, you may cast your vote to your friend who has a high-end chassis with holes that aid for cable management wherein the efforts required maybe fairly less whereas someone else must have taken pains to clean a CM Elite 310 chassis which offers fairly less cable management options and thus deserves credit over the former.

Get the picture!

True. Thats how I decided my vote. Modular PSu's and cabby with good cable management features make it easy for good CM. But at the same time it should be seen that contestants with absolute minimum hardware and generic cabby also have an advantage due to less number of wires running through. Anyways casted my vote on a balanced rig (IMO)

All the best to all.

#[member='Renegade'] #[member='Gannu'] - It will be better if you post link where we posted detailed entry (from the main Clean and Clear thread). This will help voters to judge well

Edit : Sorry, it is given already.. Forgot to read that.. My fault

but there are high end cabbys which get more dustier than the rest

Voted for Naveen Chauhan for posting the most to the point TUTORIAL on cleaning, as well as posting stuff before Time. I can tell he's a bad photographer
ohyeah.gif
but WTH, he shared many key points with us that matter more to us.

And he was the first one to post temperature readings too

.

I like the config too, it's simple and common.

Come on guys vote now. Today is the last day

Its just a perspective, its not like we will not choose winners using high end cabinets.

The contest is all about cable management, the most efficient management in space/clutter ratio will win
happy19.gif
Don't loose hope just because you have a big cabinet.

Thanks a lot Aman for the support. Yes I am a bad photographer
ohyeah.gif
, I am so bad that I had to get all my photos taken by a 13 year old kid.

I like keeping things simple so that's what my PC reflects, BTW the cabinet and the PSU both are 4 year old!!, following a systematic cleaning procedure regularly it never suffered from overheating or dust related problems till date. And the temps I posted are Mumbai temps of mid summer with 90% Humidity so they are pretty good for a NON-AC room.
Thanks for all your votes TE'ians.

voted for mav2000 because i know how much time, effort, creativity does one require to mod a PC.

assembling a PC and efficient cable management can be done by many people but only a handful can do serious/professional modding. (not including myself in this
<
,i'm not a professional modder)

kudos to mav2000 for his amazing coolermaster ATCS 840.

PS - though people may/may not be considering giving extra credit for sleeving but i would like to point out that it really requires time, patience and skill to do it perfect,i still remember that it took me about 4 hours to sleeve my 24 pin connector
<

^^ What you said is absolutely right. I did some sleeving and I know how much time it takes but here, the competition is all about cable management and not modding.

What you and mav2000 did is very difficult and if the voting is on the basis of modding , others will not have any chance to win.

So, I feel what dark Star stated in his post holds very neutral and give everyone equal chance to win.

I don't think, judgement will be based on the level of modification. Rather, it should be on level of Skills, efforts and methods we used to make it much better.

well everyone has it's own perception, some look at cable sleeving as a way to improve cable management which is true, others think of it as modding.

i belive that sleeving serves both of those purposes.it helps system look clean and modded, when i say modded it's nothing apart from visual changes there's no rocket science there.

take my case for example - although it is modded but i haven't drilled a single hole in it for aiding cable management, yes i did planned for that but i didn't drilled any holes.

i know how hard it is to do a perfect cable management.you need custom length cables which needs to have perfect length

.

i do know some of the professional modders and they say that a perfect system should not only have a perfect front (window panel) side but a perfect back side as well (where one tucks his most of the cables)

in the end i'm not complaining or pointing towards anyone here but trying to convey a message here and i hope for the best "CLEAN & CLEAR" rig to win

Agreed Sir
<

that's what i'm trying to expain.

Best of Luck to All

Sleeving looks like a hell-of a job to do, most of the PSU cables nowadays are sleeved by default. Sleeving if carried out on non-sleeved PSU is a really good idea and should be looked forward to. Availability of sleeves is also rare even here in Mumbai.

Sleeving every single cable again has a lot of disadvantages, it spoils the default color coding of the cables, creates even more wires making it look like more clutter, makes it a mammoth task when cleaning the cables again and costs a lot - making it a NO VFM choice, it's a pure luxuary MOD that serves only the modder leaving him with a great sence of accomplishment and PEACE
<
.

Thats the reason why sleeving is not being given any extra point rightly by our esteemed moderators.
