Is it possible to improve the search? Most of the time, when I need to search for a particular thread, I get stuck with the minimum 4 letter requirment.

- Will stop archaeologist from excavating age old thread.

When did the mods say that? I dont even remember reading something like that.
Anyway for solved tag it will be difficult to get the people to change their tags.
As far as problem of age old thread is concerned, it is not a big problem. Secondly it will be solved soon as any threads older than a year will not be available for posting. You can see this thread for example -> http://www.techencla...ted-for-a-poll/
The Best Post is not a simple change and will require substantial efforts. Will that on our list of things to consider but dont think if it can be done anytime soon.
I was thinking of a better and elegant solution for this problem for a long time now. Thanks for raising this. Will see if something can be done to address this by this weekend.

The [SOLVED] can be also a button, when pressed, the thread title gets prefixed with [solved], or something like that
That is entirely upto the forum software. Not even Tapatalk guys can do something about it. Unless it is a standard feature for the forum platform they cannot implement it.

About the Image issue, can we make the image uploading such that it is not resized in the post once it is included in the post.
What happens is that whenever I upload any image and embed it into my post, it gets resized to a tiny thumbnail and I have to click on it to resize it. This doesn't happen if I use a 3rd party pic host like imageshack and use the link.
It would be great if we could avoid resizing of pics uploaded on TE as then we wouldn't need to rely on 3rd party image hosts. Hope it is not very difficult... [img]http://static1.techenclave.com//public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/54645.gif
Assuming that diskspace is not a problem for the admins . Getting our own image hosting is a better option .

I think you mean to say that forum software & Tapatalk are not completely compatible with each other so it can't be implemented as of now ?
One more suggestion buddy its something to do with how the forum has been structured.
Currently we have:
TE > Hardware Zone > CPU/Mobo corner > Threads(With various topics like News, Troubleshooting, etc)
How about changing it to something like the following examples:
TE > Hardware Zone > CPU/Mobo Zone >
1. News, Reviews & Discussion section.
2. Driver & BIOS updates section.
3. Troubleshooting section.
TE > Hardware Zone > PC Peripherals Zone >
1. News, Reviews & Discussion section.
2. Troubleshooting section.
What I am trying to do is create a news & reviews section which currently gets mixed up with troubleshooting requests.
By doing the above we'll be able to check the news section for the latest news & reviews as well as it will help members who troubleshoot problems of others by answering and tracking them more efficiently.
These sub-sections or similarly appropriate sub-sections according to the section its being made in can be added to other major categories if & where required.
It would also become a much better for mods to manage them as you can appoint mods for sub-sections if required i.e. if a certain sub-section draws a lot of crowd.
Do tell me the probability of this suggestion to be incorporated in the forum.

I am saying that tapatalk needs to implement that but they cant do it since forums do not have such a feature.
Your second suggestion can be implemented using tags. We can have a "news" tag in the said forums.

my suggestions : CDN to store images & the list of likes received post likes above OP [like we had in VB]
How will CDN improve your experience. Regardless all images on TE get served through CDN already.
Is that really helpful. How many people use that likes functionality? Its not easy to do so there better be good use case.

Also, are we planning to bring back the Rep system? Not that I want it but I just thought I would ask about it anyway!
Not sure about that but there was a limitation of resolution there. 1600 x 1200 IIRC. And images loaded perfectly at work. We could upload as well.
