This is a post I just made in vij's sale thread:

"Recently this market has become a stinking fish market with some nuts haggling and low-balling despite having *no interest* in buying the item for sale... time to crack down on these lowlifes!

It's his item guys, he can choose to sell it for whatever price he wishes... either you buy at sale price, negotiate price via PM or STFU!"

It's time to enforce one of the first market rules or make some changes so this cr@p doesn't continue: "You may only post in the thread if you are interested in buying or selling, or have something positive to say. You may not make any flaming or useless posts. In case you feel the quoted price is high, you may contact the seller via PM and make him/her your offer."

I do that when it is my threads in question, and I don't mind when it's a rare occurrence; this is becoming a trend.

+1 and this goes out specially for people like nvidiabeast and such kinds who keep lowballing in most of the threads :@. There should be one more safin hack i.e. like the interested button we should have one more button called 'lowballers' :P

Its not all that bad, but some guys are annoying.

Theres someone who posts high prices while selling and haggles to the last penny while buying. Amusing.

As bottle mentioned above, report the post that you feel is incorrect and we shall look into it. Its a bit hard with all the mods being busy to look at each thread individually. Whenever we spot such an occurance, we take care of it.

Well, I think the same can be achieved with clicking on the reported posts button and specifying the reason as "lowballing".

omg, someone said katmandude in that thread and hasnt got deleted yet!

the world has gone insane!
Katmandude, doesnt figure as a banned word or as a slang. However, I am sure you are aware of the issue with the person in question. If not, look around in the feedback section, get yourself uptodate with the real reasons etc. If you still have a problem relating to this, please feel free to PM any of the mods. We shall be more than glad to help you out.

Again, reiterating the fact, please use the report posts button to forward any such attempts to us. We shall do our best to get rid of them asap if they qualify for the reason you have given.

Thanks.

XT/bottle, we will continue to report posts of miscreants but the point I'm trying to drive home is that some action must be taken other than just deleting their posts.

Udit, that was discussed before but for some reason TE administration didn't think it was right.

well...just ignore the lowballers...it works, most of the time...or just sabotage their deals!!!!
Ignoring them and reporting their posts to get the post deleted is the best way.:hap2:

BTW, what to do when people who post really High prices at times ignore my PMs about correcting their prices?:P

I have been warned a few times for posting in such threads where the seller ignored my PMs.:ashamed:
