His reply of me being a ana! :@
Hmmm... I dunno what 'being a ana!' means... Wait, I'll lookup in the urban dictionary... Damn... it is nauseous... :@

I think you were justified in your reply unless there is something worse (that we dunno!) that you had posted before Gannu's post!! ;)

Even Gannu is a Section Mod. He could have deleted the posts as well, isn't it?

Or is it that only the Section Mod for that particular section can delete a post in that specific section?? :S

In any case, what made you post '... mind your bloody language' in the thread??

P.S.: I still maintain that the Date issue was trivial. I was only worried if the TE Rules were flexible for Mods... which as I am now sure, are not!
i think any mods can delete unwanted post, but section mods have limitation to their section.

And Metalspree said so, because gannu posting anal

Please, I implore you to tell me one case which had a similar so called 'issue' and was deleted/closed.

I repeat, that thread does not violate any rule.

As for the deleting of the posts, all OT posts are to be deleted. It doesn't matter who deleted them. If a member encounters any violation, he is expected to report it. It will be considered and appropriate action will be taken, if any is deemed plausible.

since my post deleted dont know why i again saying rules are supposed to be same for all as why being robot for normal users and why human when it comes to fellow mod

Honestly, there was nothing wrong with the images. They clearly showed the owner and the current status of the hardware. Mistakes, happened via OT posts being done on the thread, and were purged. This is the only reason they were deleted out. Not that the master thread is owned by a MOD, or some MODs replied to posts. They were OT so all were purged. How many sales threads have you all seen, where we left OT redundant.

Metalspree, was not ignored. It came to the staff queue, and the team reviewed the images to be fine. This happens with all the reported thread, be whom so ever the creator be. If we had received more reports, and/or potential buyers saying that they are unclear of Mephisto's intentions, action would have been taken.

Let us not digress into "who wrote what". And "who replied what" cause it does not exist anymore. Or who removed the threads from the system. Quite pointless. Feedback has been taken, if need be the market section team can amend the rules.

Sorry, I just noticed the reported post. But to be fair, it was reported *AFTER* your comments in the thread, which go like this :

Being a mod you failed to post 2 pictures clearly mentioning your name and date .In the second picture the IEM covers the name and the date.If it was a member i am sure you must have locked up the thread by now :|

If you had reported the post, you could've left it and waited for us to look through it. But read your post above and be honest, that was not really your intention was it? :P

As for what Gannu said :-

Gannu said:
^Dude stop being so anal! Is that snap all that bad? I am not sure if we lock down threads with such snaps. We generally lock down those that do not post snaps as per rules - just 1 snap or only one snap of the two having the TE user ID/date, simply boxes instead of the actual component, snaps with older dates etc being the frequent defaulters.

Could you point me to a thread which was locked down in similar aspects?

Stop referring urbandictionary.

Please refer : Anal - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary , and check what it says under 'Examples'. Here's another example of the phrase : What does it mean when someone sais "thats being anal?"? - Yahoo! Answers

More importantly, the text above in bold has been repeatedly asked throughout this entire thread. Will anyone care to answer this before making absurd comments?

Example please?

@Mephistopheles If it doesn't not violate any rule then can other members also start posting the same way you did.

@Eddy u think my intention was to get his IEM for low price :P .

I am sure there were many threads which were locked down not sure where there buried.

^If one of the picture clearly shows the userid and date and the other pic marginally has the product covering the userid and date, and it is quite apparent that infact the date on it is within the 3-day rule limit - Then, incontrovertibly yes.

I was given infraction for same thread by different mods as if they are competiting against each other, "look I gave more points than you " & celebrate like they have take over the neighborhood.

When it comes on them, look how are they protecting each other.

It was acknowledged as a mistake and promptly reversed by me :

In any case it is not connected to this thread. So moving back to this thread..

Could you point me to a thread which was locked down in similar aspects?

You forgot to answer this :)

@ Metalspree: You seemed sure that you know of some action taken by me (or some other mod) on a similar issue, so one might think you would know that.

One thing is for sure, if that were to be created by an usual members, no one would point that, but as a mod is starting the thread, the thing is upside down. Drop it guys

^^ His above post is an example. He had posted the same thing somewhere around Post # 60 but that has been deleted, dunno why... :@

As for using the Urban Dictionary, I suppose that we should have a Rule on TE that whenever anyone abuses another person, he/she should mention the Source to be referred in case the abuse has more than one meaning. :|

Isn't this something similar to what you had said to me. About a particular comment being more generic and less direct... Well, it happens all the time!

I am not saying that Gannu meant to abuse Metalspree. But the fact that something light for one might mean an abuse for someone else cannot be ignored.

As for Mephistopheles, I think he already apologized long back and now, he doesn't deserve to be bashed anymore. Period.

Yes, but injustice is not a rare occurrence on TE... :(
