Any posts that try to derail a thread get deleted. Holds true for any section. So many were left intact because this entire thread got derailed beyond any redemption after that.

Ever since I joined the legal field, I have given this story to 'n' number of people. Few really bother about it... But I'll post it here nevertheless.

During the rule of Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (4th ruler of Islamic state after the prophet), it is said that this incident took place...

Ali Ibn Abi Taleb lost his Shield in a battle and a jew took it.

After knowing that the jew had it, the Ameer Al Mou’meneen (Prince of the Believers, as Islamic rulers were called) asked the jew to give him the shield back. The Jew refused and insisted that the shield belonged to him and not Ali Ibn Abi Taleb.

Sayedna Ali took the case to court.

As the Jew and Sayedna Ali stood in front of the judge, the judge said:” Please lay your case O Ameer Al Mou’meneen”.

Sayedna Ali said: “No, do not call me that!”

The judge:”Why?”

Sayedna Ali:”Because before the law, we are all equal. No names or statuses are to be mentioned or taken into consideration”.

The judge agreed and asked them to lay their cases.

After each one finished stating his case, the judge decided that per the Islamic law and due to lack of proof that the shield belonged to Ali Ibn Abi Taleb, then the Jew owns it.

Sayedna Ali said: “This is a fair verdict, I have no proof and by God this is what the verdict should be. I agree on any verdict that is a just judgment, even if that verdict was against me!”.

[Here was the jew, taking the ruler of the Islamic state to court for something that belonged to the ruler, no one tried harming the jew, the Ameer Al Mou’meneen didn’t use his power or influence to force the jew to give him the Shield, the Ameer Al Mo’meneen disapproved any favoritism at the court even if it was by calling him by his job title, the judge ruled in favor of the jew due to lack of evidence regardless that the ruler was the one who raised the case, and after all that…the Ameer Al Mou’meneen said that this is justice even if it was against him!!!!]

Overwhelmed by what he saw and heard in front of his eyes…

The Jew then said: “Ashhado Ana Laa Ilaha Ila Allah, Waa Ashhado Ana Mohammadan Rasoolo Allah (I believe that there is no God except Allah, And I believe that Mohammad is His messenger), I have never seen or heard of anything like this!”

He then continued:”Here O Prince Of Believers, take your shield, I swear in front of this court that it belongs to you”.

Sayedna Ali turned to him and said: “No my brother, keep it with you. For you are now my brother in Islam (since the Jew just converted to Islam), and that is something far more valuable than anything tangible in this world!”

P.S.: I do not believe in Islam nor in Hinduism. I am agnostic at best... The story is only intended to emphasize the nature of justice as it should be.

No, it means that the system is faulty. You are talking about the robber getting caught (if and when). Here, the offenders are in plain sight and still you ignore. That is the failure of the system and the enforcers. That is injustice.

And that will help how? Rules are set and leeway is given to the members. Does not mean that we have to set the rules for leeway as well. Are we trying to set a formula one regulation guide?

He apologized for that. What are you trying to do by bringing that up again? He said he did not make any mistake in terms of the picture. All the mods agree to that. Can you provide an instance when a member under a similar circumstance was treated differently?

Now since this is related to Market rules - particularly about the images and note in the image , I had a question in mind since a long time .

Is it compulsory that the date in the note is exactly the same as the date on which thread is created ?

Asking this because recently some of my Market threads were closed because I initially clicked snaps on X -date and due to health problems wasn't able to copy images from camera,resize and upload them on the very same day . As a result ,I ended up creating thread almost 3-5 days after the images were clicked. There were more than half a dozen pictures in thread , 2-3 of them with dates and they all gave a clear impression of product being with me.
but the thread was locked up by the very same mod in question for his sale thread now . It was a little surprising because in last 1-2 yrs of market threads ,I hadn't faced any such issues even if the pics were few days older than sale thread created.

Anyways I told Memp. that rules were rules so what he did was maybe right but I just felt locking it was a bit too much , Just a warning post to upload new snaps could have been fine . Later had to PM Gannu , get the thread opened to upload the fresh snaps instantly.

I guess the reason everyones making such a big issue out of this two small images is not because he is a mod but maybe because the mod himself has been a little to strict in hammering down the market threads recently ? Just my opinion . No offense to any of the mods or members.

As of the creation of this thread, TE's IQ probably dipped by a few 100 points which is really bad considering it's already in the pooper and has been for quite sometime. Where is the quality of content in any of this?

@Renegade... Everyone here knows how "eager" Nehaladsul is to make a point, but why would you want to debase yourself by continuously contributing to this nonsense. It's very unbecoming and doesn't reflect you in the best light. There is a certain decorum that should be maintained by the management staff of any organization. If you want to ban somebody, do so after discussing it with the other mods in private and then just do it. Issuing a warning that comes across more like a threat, not to mention you taunting him right up to the moment when the axe falls shows a complete lack of class.

Please, I request you to restore the dignity of this forum before it's too late.

It is really difficult to accept a fact as it is... If you cannot tolerate a free bird in your airspace, atleast tell the bird that he makes you panic and hence he should leave your airspace. If the bird is like me, he'll leave the airspace without questions.

But if you threaten the bird (and the bird is like me), please don't expect him to fly off!! :lol:

Your point was fair and therefore he discussed the point with us and everyone agreed that we can let the difference be for 3 days. The rules were amended. I wonder if the announcement was made towards the same. Even if it wasn't, the rules were relaxed here and thus will not impact any members adversely.
