So i have been an uploader on many sites and been using seedboxes since a lot of time so i thought i'd make this small guide.
Who needs a seedbox :
-Uploaders
-People who want superfast access to files (ofc u need a gr8 connection)
-Tracker whores (ppl who want access to better sites usually try by maintaining and showing ratio proofs of their existing sites to get invites)
-The speeds we have in India are very crappy and if u want to maintain a gr8 ratio and be amazed by the superb speeds (I used to average 60-70MB/s on a Gbit box frm OVH
) on a seedbox get this for atleast a month.
To get the best bang for ur buck+if u can manage+install apps on your own servers remotely u can buy one of the servers from here. I personally recommend one of these if u are an uploader. (However these can be sold only to UK people so i had to ask my friends to pay for it and then get login details :

OVH - Hosting and Internet Solutions - OVH
Most of the seedbox resellers use the above providers for their boxes while sharing the cost between multiple users.
If u cant manage ur own server then u have the option to buy a box from a reseller who will install the torrent clients and provide assistance if u encounter problems with the seedbox.
If u plan on using this option i can only recommend u these 2 resellers :
Xirvik Torrent
Pros - Superb setup time and support. Good speeds, Provide u with torrentflux-b4rt so u can create torrents on the server (only helpful to uploaders).
Cons - A bit expensive
However Xirvik provides 10 GB/s boxes too - Xirvik hypersonic server - Torrent-Invites deal
&
Seedboxes, Best Seedbox, Dedicated Seedbox, Seedbox Hosting, Cheap Seedbox
Pros - Good setup time, 24hr support, Good speeds. Also the owner is an Indian who shuttles between London and mumbai so if u dont have a credit card or a paypal account u can transfer the money via NEFT
Cons - None
However now i have given up uploading on trackers and buying expensive servers and just want to use my superb office connection after work hours to grab files through FTP. We have a lot of gamers + movie addicts here
So now i want to suggest you something cheaper and reliable and have found this box for Rs.800. Since i am using this box currently i will be reviewing this as reference.
This is run by staff on the What network.
Feral Hosting
Pros - Cheap, reliable , 24hr setup time, support available via IRC. the staff apparently are too busy on this provider - even after ur seedbox subscription expires, the server tends to be online for eg: i bought a server here 4 mnths back and stopped using it. In the first week of December i bought another box and after paying for it i realized my 4 mnth old box was still active !
Cons - None encountered since my time here
Firstly i would like to show some of my old proofs to some sites to show what kind of ratios u can keep if u have a seedbox (sorry i wish i could show you high level tracker proofs but it can prolly get misused by some nasty trader so here goes) :
Now the process from start to finish :
Signup and select the server Speed reloaded (currently out of stock, will be available once staff buys newer servers), it comes upto Rs.799 for Unlimited torrents+110Gb HDD space (You can either pay with your credit card through google checkout or thru paypal).

Once you pay, the same will be processed and u will receive a mail the next day with the login details (This process used to take 15mins earlier but has been increased due to increase in demand).
When you receive the mail it will be something like this :
Then click the above shown link in the image and login to the site.
However no torrent client will be available to use and u will have to select which client u will prefer :u have an option of wtorrent on rtorrent or Transmission, i would suggest you go with wtorrent. See images for details :
Give it 5-10 mins for it to install wTorrent on your box.
After this time return to the page and you will see your wTorrent webui login details.
It's time to roll.
Click on the link given on the site to access Wtorrent - bookmark this !
After logging in the page will look like this :
Now download any torrent from your tracker onto your desktop and click on ADD TORRENT:
Click Browse and select the torrent file and press "Upload file" to start downloading the torrent to the box. :
Now u ll get the message "Torrent uploaded correctly", now to view the progress you will have to Click on main and watch in astonishment.
IMPORTANT NOTE - The speeds vary with the quality of the tracker
Once the file has been downloaded on the box, u will need to install Filezilla on your pc.
Once it is installed return to https://www.feralhosting.com/heron/manager/software/:
Now use the FTP login details to access your root directory on the seedbox.
In Filezilla , click on FILE->SITE MANAGER-> enter details -> Click Connect.
After successful connection click on Data and simply drag and drop folders into the left portion (Select the path).
Could have shown u GI-JOE speeds but its currently wrk hrs so i need to show u an older screenie taken last night :
There you go, u can watch movies/tv shows within 15 mins after they appear on the net/trackers.
