Hi Members,
Welcome To TE V2.0.

We hope you have liked the new avatar of TE.

While we have tried out best to release maximum features in the time we had. We have carried out extensive testing and there are a few known things which still exist and you may find them. We have been working a lot for the V2.0 launch and hope that you will report any such bugs/errors etc. which you find, in this thread and will cooperate until we take care of them.

Hi Xterminator. Hats off to TE for this amazing revamp.

Found some errors though. I tried to deposit some nickles in the bank. It accepted and asked me to go to the home page for updating. I did so. Went again to the bank. Though the amount of nickles that I had in the bank was correct, the amount of nickles that I had in my pocket was incorrect (did not get updated). Greedily i tried to deposite the amount in the bank. But it did not accept. (Otherwise I would already been a millionare!!).

Also I tried to steal some nickles from some other TE member. It said that steal failed and I lost the money. Also it said that my reputation got reduced by 100 points. What is the concept of nickles, theft and reputation. Can you please elaborate on this?

The Updation of the nickels deposited is usually reflected after one or two refreshes of the page.

Nickels are forum cash which you can use to purchase some features as listed in http://www.techenclave.com/forums/ushop.php

Like Changing Custom User Title, Bold Display Name etc.

Apart from this, there is a Bank where you can deposit your money. If your money is in the bank, no one can steal it.

Your inpocket money is what can be stolen using the Thief feature. This is a risky feature to use and is similar to a gamble. It pays off sometimes and at other times it doesnt. If it does pay off, you get to keep the money and nothing happens to your reps. But, if you fail, you loose the amount you tried to steal to the person whom you were trying to steal from and loose a 100 rep points.
 
I think i found a bug,when u click on the inventory on the top,in some sections,the google ads comes to the foreground and the menu goes behind the google ads.

Also i am not able to attatch images so i uploaded them to imageshack

Thanks Kumar for the info.

We will work on it.

BTW, in the first screenshot, the ad has not loaded fully. Once it does, i think the menu is displayed properly. Please check and let us know again.

actually thats a common problem in opera.
it does that at mnay places. Use any other browser and you will be fine ;)

Simply Icy Cool Outfit for TE. I love it.

but, it seems TE may not upgrade to vB 350 in the near future. Any particular reasons for deciding against waiting for vBulletin going Gold. vBulletin350 will spare you and your mod team and a hell lot of forum maintenance time. But thats what i think.

Just looked at TE Top 10 Statistics by SuperNova - an amazing hack !! when are you releasing it on vb.org. ;)
And now its time for my favourite time pass, mmmmmm errors/bugs yummy !!!

1. Clicking Impressum link in foother returns an error page --> http://www.techenclave.com/forums/html_page_error.php?file=404.shtml and thereafter clicking back button repeatedly returns the same error message.

2. At http://www.techenclave.com/forums/articles.php ---> The TE Gaming Zone is your zone for latest gaming reviws, ;) articles, graphic card reviews, console news and more. If its gaming, Its in TE Gaming Zone

3. In the TE Top 10, who is this johnnyzero with 8022 posts in last seven days. Clicking his name return an HTTP 404 error at page http://www.techenclave.com/forums/member.php

4. In the section Sponsored Links, it says --> [Click Here to Remove This Advertisement], but hey! i have already registered and logged in. Clicking the link takes me to a new screen saying "Our records show that you have already registered under the name of Neutral Singh. If you have lost your password, click here. If you would like to modify your profile, click here."

I think a simple if statement should rectify the error for registered members.

5. On Masti Zone and many other pages, i notice google adsense cluttered all over the place, just my observation.

thanks neutral.. always nice to have guys to point out the bugs.

Why we went for v3.0x.. well primarily cos we are more comfortable with the hacks and the coding structure. I can code it properly and more then that its more stable. With 3.5.. yes there are grt features but knowing vbulletin, they never tend to get a stable release anyway.. they come with fast new releases and thats a pain. We will upgrade maybe in 2 months when its stable.
Now bugs

1) fixing that..
2) typo :P
3) major messup in top10 cos of newsgroups. Am coding a new better t top 10.
4) qf your lead.
5) guess the ads are cluttered so that they are clicked upon ;) Its masti.. ad masti also :P lol
 
There seems to be some problem with the submission of the articles in the Gaming Zone. I tried to submit a article but every time it threw some error messages like "All fields have to be filled." and "Invalid file type". So every time I rectified the error and re-submitted it. But the article seems to have been accepted every time I had clicked the 'Submit Article' button. Because the number of articles submitted by me was showing 4. But then I clicked on the duplicate articles to view each one of them. But again error messages were shown and the article did not open. Finally only one opened and the others got deleted. Now the article count submitted by me is 2. Kindly remove one duplicate article. Please delete the one which does not have the 'Article Icon'.

Under the Richest Members.. the first two are argus_smith (around 430 Nickles) :O and Switch (around 423 Nickles) :O . How did they get so much rich. Please can anyone tell me their secret? I am trying hard but only managed to earn around 30 Nickles. :( :(

Now Rave is the richest with 437 Nickles and argus_smith is nowhere in the list.

You had 4 articles in moderation queue.

Next time click once and a mod will soon validat ethe article.
 
Mods, in the gaming zone please keep the article (Age of Empires III released date announced) that has the 'Article icon' and remove the article that does not have 'Article icon'. Please. Without the 'Article icon' it is not looking good.
 
I use opera and usually browse with images turned off and the control buttons (usercp, search, new posts, etc.) aren't visible in the mode. Can you please fix that?
Maybe make them turn into simple text links when images aren't enabled.

Also posting a quick reply doesn't update the page, it just sits there unless I click the post button again whence it tells me a duplicate post has been made and finally proceeds to reload correctly.
