team fortress 2 strutterin a lot

i have a
e6600
8800gt
2gigs 667mhz ram
my problem is whenever i play tf2 it strutters a lot it started happening when i changed my ram from dual channel mode to normal mode i tried deleting the client.blob file and the cfg file nothing works i have xp with sp3 so can anyone please help me????? my gfx driver . 169.28 and i have no problem with anyother games please help

Can you tell me whether this stuttering happens when you create your own server??

Also at what settings are you running this game?

My advice close any unnecessary background processes, not that your PC can't handle them but hard disk usage goes up and this can limit any amount of GPU + CPU power.

To avoid the above issue defrag your hard drive using O&O defrag or PerfectDisk so files on your HDD are fully optimized .
