PS: Editing this post to reframe my query. Screenshots as of now may not be possible.
This is what happens...
1. I connect to my home laptop using my work laptop using team viewer.
2. Once connected, there is a top bar which usually comes with options like
ACTIONS, VIEW, AUDIO / VIDEO, FILE TRANSFER etc
3. Here there is a CROSS SIGN on the very left which I can use to end the teamviewer session.
4. Sometimes, I see a padlock sign over this cross, this causes the behavior of this cross symbol to change, as in, it will still end the session if I click it, but it will also lock the remote computer.
I don't know what triggers that or how it comes or it is some key combination I accidentally typed on my keyboard which causes. But In most cases, to fix it, I have to restart the remote computer completely. It just doesn't go by disconnecting team viewer session and then reconnecting.
Here is the screenshot, highlighted the icon in RED. Please note that as of now when this screenshot was taken, the issue DOES NOT PERSIST. But there is a padlock symbol over this cross sometimes.
