Is it possible to connect to my unattended download rig before the windows logon screen on lan ( using lan static ip as id )through teamviewer , i can connect through lan connection after it has logged into windows but not before the logon screen.

You can access teamviewer without logging in

I just wanted to know if you can access teamviewer without logging in through LAN only connection

Ya Teamviewer 6 installs as as service for which you can login without even logging in also. But you can't use your LAN Static IP, you need that Teamviewer ID, which is static, as you can save it for later reference, and use unattended access by setting up static password :)

After i choose the incoming lan setting as "accept exclusively" , it tells me to use my lan static ip as the id so i thought i should be able to login using the lan ip

Maybe i need to make some changes to the router settings for it to work ?

No in that case it would work fine. :)

You don't need to change anything on router side.

But it is not working, thats why i started this thread

Now i tried connecting by using the permanent id & even this is not working, its telling me to check the internet on the download rig , both PCs are connected to the same router

I solved the problem, i had to save host/mac address/static ip under dhcp client list in the router and now it is working.

Internet was not working at windows logon screen but worked after login for the download rig, maybe because i had messed around a lot with the OS, i had made many registry changes & disabled many services related to networking on the download rig but on my main PC there were no changes to the OS,

For the 1st pc (main rig) above Mac/ip/host was automatically added to the dhcp client list and i just checked static box to save it, for the 2nd pc ( download rig ) i used everest to get Mac/ip/host & typed it in and checked static box to save it and after this teamviewer started working at windows logon screen.
