My cabby is already clean, so can't post messy pic. DO one gets bonus points on posting the messy pic first, then the clean one ?

In that case its a one day job to make is messy

Here is my entry for competition :

http://photobucket.com/zapak (First entry of this competition
<
)

I usually clean my caby once a month with usb vacuum cleaner and assemble my whole system once every 6 months.

Cable management credit goes to CM for giving us the Great HAF932.

PS : Let me know if I have voided any rule.

Finally an advantage of postponing the cleanup since past 2-3weeks...
<

although chances of winning against veterans of cable management is a bit tough job to execute (if people in cable management thread are participating

Either way, it is a win-win situation. So go ahead and do the clean up before the contest ends.

BTW, it would be better participants post the thumbnails of the pictures in this thread rather than just the links. Will motivate others who are just visiting the thread too.

#dOm1naTOr #rahulyo No bonus points for messy pics, so don't go through the trouble of making your cabinets dirty first.

Did you forget to place a handwritten note mentioning your TE userID in the pictures or am I just too sleepy right now to see it?

Here's my entry to the contest:

Messy Cabby (built 1 month ago
<
) :

Cleaned Cabby:

1. First of all, started with the Hyper TX3.

Used a cloth to prevent the fine dust from falling on other components.

Used a blower to blow out THE dust.

Most of the dust collected on the cloth.

Cleaned!

2. Used the blower and the cloth to clean rest of the components.

Hope to WIN !!!!
<
<

P.S.: Cable management already done so didn't redo it!

oooops i forgot to mention how i cleaned my pc

firstly i removed all the connecting wires .. kept every h/w separate .. mouse .. kb .. monitor .. gpu .. hardisk .. psu .. motherboard !

i cleaned my Keyboard 1st which took hell lotta time as i removed every single button .. it was the 1st time i was cleaning the AW KB since i bought it from fellow te member .. i took around 3 hrs

then i cleaned my MX518 not that time consuming .. about 10-15 mins i guess .. washing the Razor mantis took 5 mins and then i hanged it up alongside clothes

well then i started cleaning my empty cabby in my balcony .. it was very dusty .. i took around 45 mins to clean the cabby .. the dirt around the fans is always difficult to clean in HAF 32

then after taking lunch break i poured water on my PC table so that while wiping it with a cloth later on it would be easy to clean the sticky dirt

then i started cleaning individual components .. it took about an hour to clean the GPU .. monitor(cleaning it with the polish) .. Hardisks and the slots

afterwards i cleaned the Pc table which was lying in the balcony ...

so after cleaning up the place it was time to clean the MOTHERBOARD which doesnt usually take time .. removing the dirt from the cooler and cleaning the whole mobo took around 45 mins

the cabby was clean .. hdsks, mobo, gpu, psu were ready to go .. assembling/cable management took around half hour .. started the pc but it would start .. so i tighted all the wires around gpu and psu .. the pc started .. brought the pc table inside set the monitor, mouse pad ....

after few cuts and bruises the job was done ....

materials used for cleaning .... small air pump .. brush .. atleast 5 hankey sized clothes .. polish .. water water n water
<
.. screwdriver set

time consumed .. 7-8 hours including lunch break ....

it usually takes around 5-6 hours continuous to clean but taking snaps cleaning hands + starting the pc again after removing all the buttons from ALIENWARE KB to enable ALien fx to take snaps of the keyboard with various colors (which was a dream since i got the kb) .. that consumed extra time

my pc config :

MOBO : Asus P5q3 Deluxe wifi

CPU : Q6600

Ram : 4gb

Storage : 3tb (present)

Power Supply : VX 550

Cpu Cooler : OCZ Vendetta 2 (WATER COOLER SOMING SOON
<
)

Graphics : Sapphire 5850

Mouse : MX518

Mouse pad : Mantis Control

Keyboard : TactX
