I could see HOT icon in-front of some threads. What does these icons means exactly?

Those are the top discussed threads currently. They will lose that eventually when the thread becomes old and no one is replying to the thread.

Lately when I get new reply notification via email, the links in the post are wrong. It is in a short form but it stays that way when clicked. So I have to come straight to the forum and look for the relevant thread or private message.

Actually, the forum code has behaviour of shortening URLs everywhere. But it actually deletes a part of URL which is a bug, thus browser is not able to recognise "incomplete URL".

Also, #Crazy_Eddy, the reply box is WYSIWYG, but it has got some bugs. Like when I bold the characters or something similar, then when I type again, cursor automatically goes to the end of section where I had done "bold/italic/any_formatting". This is not one time, but always. Like while replying this, when I did "WYSIWYG" bold, I continued writing, but while writing "Like", the curson automatically went just after "WYSIWYG".

Selecting a piece of text to apply formatting is in effect directing the cursor there.

No its not always like that. URLs are shortened but their recognition doesn't gets lost, and thats what happening.
