#ALPHA17 I understood the current concept . But in previous system likes and Reps are different. So in previous system Reps are More Valuable than Likes. Now while incorporating those likes into this system there should be a ratio. 30 likes in previous system is equal to one rep here.

Classified relisting is not working.

When clicking 'Renew' there is an error page that says 'Invalid pricing format' (have made no changes in price).

Then the listing shows up as renewed in the 'Manage Classifieds' module under the user settings, but does not show up in the Classified Home/Listings at all.
 
#ALPHA17 , thanks for your response mate. I know that before and thats not the issue.

The main drawback of the current system is that likes in non-technical post will also be treated as reps, which is not same. Suppose a member X post lots of stuffs in the GT section or the hot D&D section and has lots of likes, but in a tech forum like TE, those cannot be treated as his reputation , as its clearly different from tech.
 
^^ I think for that you'l need to talk to Renegade Sir OR some Global Moderator like Dark Star to clarify and suggestion of changes in the system.

Lets just say that rep only signifies how likeable a member is. It is not a reputation. Previous reputation points = current like points.

Every member is limited by the number of likes they can give. Reputation points were not being used in the previous TE; very rarely anyway.

Sorry there was an issue with the member groups. Newly created groups were not included in the relist permission. Corrected now.

Hmmm, but the classifieds I 'relisted' still aren't showing in the master list (CLassifieds -> Home) and I can't relist them now because they show as active under my settings.

whatta do?

I can't see your advert either, not even in the subsection. Can you close them and then try to relist them as new adverts? Otherwise we will have to wait for the expiry period to run.
 
I will wait for someone else to be the beta tester and get it up and running properly - it's a little frustrating at this point. Relisting means copy paste again, upload picture again. I tried closing and reopening the ad and it didn't work, so will wait till the expiry period is over. Hopefully by that time the feature will be fully working.

I think members market should be again brought back. Classifieds is really irritating. You cannot change the price , Cannot edit it , etc.

@Mods please conduct a poll if the old members market should be brought back.

Edit to earlier post. Got same problem like cranky. Will close advert and re up it later. #Renegade you should really look into bringing the market section back.

Thats because you are normal member and you do not have the rights to edit older post.

This goes like this:

- Normal with minimal privileges.

- Upgraded with additional privileges

- Privileged with highest privileges - It could be in terms of no of likes per day, Inbox storage, editing rights etc.

How can relisting it lead to deletion?

Why do you want to edit the classified? A product description does not change over time.

Unlimited editing of the price is something that we will bring out soon.

Why don't we conduct a poll to close TE and do that. If you have problems then please table it. Making wild proposals will not lead to solutions.

Why don't you spend some time in contibuting to the community by making useful posts? Is that really hard? You will very soon have access to the market.

It does not appear in the classifieds section after relisting. Secondly , If i'm selling two products and i somehow change my mind not to sell one of them i have to edit the description to take it off. Thats the reason i asked about editing. Thirdly , It wasnt a wild proposal it was just a suggestion. Saying something like " Why don't we conduct a poll to close TE and do that." Wont really help any of us.

1. Same problem as that of Cranky. So lets see. Should not happen now.

2. Ideally you should not have multiple products in single listing. In future when the feedback system comes along, you will not be able to take more than a single feedback for a listing. So if you have multiple buyers in a single listing then they wont be able to leave feedback for you.

3. Precisely the point I was making. Glad you understood.
