I think TE should have one more condition, the new recruits should have atleast 5 - 10 posts. :p
 
Due to some unforseen circumstances, we will not be able to provide the Logitech Cordless Keyboard as a prize for this contest.
The other prizes however are still valid.
 
Nice strategy of announcing this at the end of the month. Everyone was probably only participating for the cordless desktop; now they've referred a lot of people and they won't get what they deserve for it. :( I'm disappointed in you guys. :(
 
Well, I have not taken part in a big way for this contest.... But this is bad guys..... Very disappointing. Who needs a fan?? Everyone who took part in this contest did it for the Logitech cordless dekstop.

I feel you should somehow make arrangements and give that itself as a prize to whoever wins.

The referrer contest seems to have worked in an unexpected way - people appear to have signed up specifically to be able to participate in the competition!!

TE isn't cheap, they rock! I'm sure they have a good reason for excluding the combo from the prizes.

I dont understand the point people or a guy is trying to make here

First off, TE is not a funded site with sponsors backing up, we run on donations, or money that team members invest from their own pocket.

and to top it up, some drunk retard somewhere has got no other work but to do DDOS @ TE coz of which you might have noticed the downtime.

and the least you can do is co-operate instead of posting BS behind proxies, if u got a point to make, make it with your regualr id.

We all here spare our free time to make TE what it is today

posting BS about admins is nothing but lame, the amount of time they spend on TE, if they do it for any other site, they will get paid a hefty amount, but they choose to work for TE instead

not that posting some BS matters to me or anyone else, but i just thought id make a few things clear...
 
I completely agree with what Rave has said, TE is doing its best.

@ Badgirl whom ever you are dont post some BS:@ , mind your words and why the hell do you call the admins as liers?

I can understand that you guys are obviously disappointed but believe us, this announcement was made after much thought and keeping in mind the best interests of TE and its members. As you all know TE was down twice and for long intervals after the announcement of this competition. This along with other unforeseen circumstances forced us to take this decision. TE is not a big commercial organization and neither are we supported by mutinational sponsors. You'll get to know more on this and how you can help us survive through this sometime soon!

TechEnclave is not cheap and never will be! Our strength lies in our members and we have no intention of cheating our members. If TE survives through this tough period (and I'm sure it will), I assure you guys will have many more opportunities to win even better prizes. Just have faith in us. Have faith in this strong tech community.

i had send my link to my email groups i know and asked members to register either using the link or asked them to refer my id....i dont know who she is.

The last few of days have been pretty hectic here at TE. First the hosts took us down for a couple of days and then we had to redo all our work in evaluating your entries/referals.. the logics of it all.. phew!

Anyways, as a surprise little present, the lucky winner of TE Referral Contest gets a Microsoft Wireless Desktop (OEM) Edition!!! woot! woot! Soon u'll find out who the lucky member is.

Hope u guys had as much fun in teasing u all as we did! :P no offense meant to anyone.. We thank all the supportive members of staff and teh junta for standing up for us. Thank you guys! We knew we could count on you. For the odd sot, u know where u cud go.

see this sucks when admins plan these things without even tellin us mod, what is this? make staff a bakra year or what?? :P

but anyway, looks like the winner will end up taking mroe than he thought of initially, and about 6 days to go, so make as many referals as u can ;)
