[TESTED] Ashampoo® Burning Studio 7

Ashampoo Burning Studio 7 keeps the power and simplicity that made version 6 such a runaway success and adds several major new functions, including DVD video burning, modified copies and bootable discs. These are all functions that users of previous versions have asked for and they make a great program even better.

Would be a nice replacement for Nero. :hap2: :eek:hyeah:

This is a paid software.

Burning was smooth.

Currently have Nero 6.6 , CDBurnerXP [Free] , Ashampoo all 3 of them.

Nero Alternatives

1.> Ashampoo [Not Free][for extra features] [202MB caching so less failure rates] [My view]

2.> CD Burner XP [gr8 for just dvd burning + freeware] [31.5MB caching]

It does take a lot of time if you use it to create a video dvd(that can be played on dvd players) from avi files.
Doesn't anyone know any burning software that can create a video dvd directly from .avi files??

@Rio - CDBurnerXP is definitely better than ImgBurn for sure :)

AFAIK ImgBurn cannot create Video DVD's from Avi files they are just for creating and burning image files.

@eagle - It will always take time to create a video dvd from avi files because the

avi files are re-encoded to dvd format and then burnt , no matter whatever

software you choose its gonna take time. I prefer nero for creating video dvd's

roxio easy media creator 9 basic
the one that came wit my laptop works just fine

IT TAKES HDD THAN NERO 8 INSTALL

nero 8 install
i mean just nero burning rom wit everything else deselected TOOK 650 something MB.
and my entire roxio suite takes 350 mb.. i just took the installations off my lappy and installed on my desktop. so it works fine here too
and other question about making dvd off avi`s

try VSO SOFTWARE`s

AVI to DVD Video Converter Software VSO ConvertXtoDVD

i have used it and i really like it...

its quite fast too.
