Textures overlapping In-Game controls

i cannot play the game(Rise of Nations)...... the trees and other objects block the view of game controls at the bottom... Although I can click on controls it still is troblesome

Anyone ever faced a similar problem
I have tried the following
1)installed latest nvidia drivers
2)latest directx 9
3) Latest available system drivers
4) tried running the game in full screen, Windows and all possible resolutions...

CONFIG:
AMD Sempron 2800+, 1+1 GB DDR RAM, Nividia 6800GT, DELL S2409W monitor
 
Reinstall the game.
Make a new profile
Take a backup of all your save games and configuration files and delete them from the game and try again with everything at default..

If all this doe not help, revert to an older driver coz 6800GT is a card from 5 generations ago. And please report back so I can help you further.
 
Looks like a Z-buffer issue which could be caused by incompatibilities with newer hardware or drivers. Try using some really old drivers.
