e-CLUB is not so good for BSNL users. Starhub was the one where we used to get 80+pings. Yeah, starhub has gone down and its a blow for TF2ers in Asia.

Guess I wont be playing TF2 much from now. :(

from here.:

Starhub is planning to take down their Team Fortress 2 public servers "really soon", according to the server administrator in charge of the servers.

The server admin, who wishes only to be known as "Hammifer", told GameSync that keeping the servers up and running smoothly are taking up too much resources for something that does not generate any revenue for the company.

"The only thing for certain is that (the TF2 servers) will most likely go really soon if the current lag issue doesnt get fixed by this Wednesday," Hammifer said.

Recently, the Starhub servers have been plagued with lag and latency issues due to a combination of the latest Sniper/Spy update being buggy and network connectivity issues, especially between the Singnet and Starhub service providers. A source who works closely with Starhub told GameSync that the ISP is currently not interested in fixing the network issues.

Starhub currently operates eight Team Fortress 2 public servers that are popular all across Asia, with players from Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and India using the servers on a daily basis. Should the servers go down, the impact on the Asia-Pacific Team Fortress 2 community could be severe with little alternatives in place to meet demand.

Singapore-based players who experience latency issues while playing can try calling Starhub's customer service line at 1633 for help.

That's bad :(

It really suck.. I never get any server below 200ping, that's why gaming suck for my BSNL connection :(

IS there any way to contribute some money from all of the asian TF2er (who wish to contribute) to bring back the servers?

And people were joking on me when I said that in in-game chat.

How about AGENCY servers? I'm getting pings around 170-180 for them.

StarHub servers gave me the lowest ping around 120 to 160 mostly. Will miss them.

Are there any servers available which are hosted "in india"?

Anyone know what kind of pings eclub has on mtnl?

starhub used to give me 50-150 ping. average around 80-90.
eclub gives around 100-200 while the average is near 130-140.

Try the Er0d0v Vstreet server. That is a TF2 server in India. It fills up to brim by evenings. imho we have a lot of indian players now who play pugs. For more help , please add me on msn or add me on steam (id: SharekhaN).

I am at work, so I cant give the IP addresses. imho, eclub servers are good. There is one more server which has playload and races exlusively. I think this starhub change affects the public players a lot. Most indian players are already part of a clan or play pick up games more than public.

I will post some server ip addresses when I get back home.

If the situation really gets dire, I may put in some money for a 24 slot tf2 server in India :)
