Thought would start a Thread to discuss some of the really smart and cheap ass tricks that would be FUN in-game. They maybe class specific , map specific.

Strictly for PUB gaming though, youll prolly get owned doing anything similar in PUGs/Scrims.

Dont mention all those cheap ass googled tricks. Want to have some FUN with real witty tricks. . those which mite not win you the game or get you on top of the score board, but makes the opponent go WTF ? :S

1. Class - Spy

Tactic - FUN Frags

Map - Any

Role - Defense/Attack

Instead of just backstabbing random guys in the server, go to the opponent's base [ specially when defending] and press TAB to see the status of the other team.

When you spot the moment when all of them are alive just sap the TELE entrance near the base and sit on it (disguised) 8 out of 10 times youll telefrag the poor enggie. .and 9 out of 10 times the other players wont notice that. . leaving you to play stab-stab with their backs all you want :P

2. Class- Enggi

Tactic - Defense / Frustration

Map - Dustbowl/Stage3/Attack

Role - Frustrating Spais

Ok so when at the third point in DB, which often gets frustrating to cap that last point !! It is common for the team to have atleast 2-3 enggies with their teles for a faster offense. But the spais are a big headache , those sneaky little bastards sneak in from behind , from the tunnels . .

A fun n easy way to deal with that is to place a Dispenser just outside the tunnel so the spai cannot cross it and has to sap it. . So you'll get to know whenever he comes and you can wrench his ass to glory . Owned many spais in PUB using these ! They all went like Get that dispenser out of the way.

----------

These were just some which came to me of the top. .will share more as and when i remember. Contributions welcome. Personally I enjoy pwning people in unorthodox ways more than dominating them or being an MVP [Sometimes :P] the old style.

2 Tips for Medic(k)s.

1. Heavy is NOT the best guy to uber when there are many sentries. You should choose a demoman at that instance. Also a heavy is not the best TF2 class. Also uber Soldier and Demomen as they're just bloody awesome.

2. Heal everyone. I've seen noob medicks only pocketing on guy and not healing others. Very irritating as even if i am getting burned they don't feel like healing me. Also When you heal injured people, the ubercharge level builds faster.

Engi tips:

1. No need to have 1+ engis on a team. Its just pointless.

^^ I am not sure I agree with you there Bro :

1. When you say Heavy is not the best class in TF2 ? Well which 1 is it. . you just need to know how to play. I personally OWN with the heavy, there a technique to take out sentries as well.

2. Better than healing every1, make it a point to heal the one with the least health !! That actually gives you a a better score ( actually you will most prolly TOP score !! )

3. I think at-least 2 enggies are required in any map. 1 for Offence and 1 for defense ! That is the ruthless combination !!!

I said what i thought was correct, of course views can differ. I am still sticking with what i said though.

Had read this somewhere.

Medic Priorities in general.

1. Other Medics.

2. Burning/Bleeding Teammates.

3. Attack Classes.

4. Support Classes.

5. Overhealing.

Engies get a higher priority when they are repairing an attacking sentry.

There is a setting in options where you can set % of health when teammates will auto call for a medic. Switch that on and set the % according to your liking. Helps to find the players with less health without pointing the cursor at everybody.

I hate being a Medic at times. No matter how much you run after the team there will always be one annoying guy on the team who will complain about my healing, mostly pyros. I mean I don't have anything against pyros, but most pyros confidently run straight at the enemy on some kind of suicide mission.

My healing priority-
1. Heavys/Soldiers
2. Demomen
3. Medics
4. Engineers
5. Pyros/Scouts/Snipers
EDIT:
- Heavys/Soldiers get first priority as they deal the most damage and also fire from a decent enough range that I can heal them.
- Most demomen mostly spam the area and stay out of the line of fire so they're 2nd priority.
- Medics, well whos going to heal a Medic while hes healing everyone else :P
- Engineers are important people and I mostly heal them while they're taking flak for healing their sentries or if they're going around looking for metal.
- Pyros/Scouts/Snipers go too far ahead or are too far behind to be healed. Ofcourse if they need health then I will heal them ofcourse :P
- I never heal friendly spies unless they absolutely need it or if theres no one to heal and no enemy around.

Being a good pyro is hard... But I loved it... Pyro is mostly surprise and attack class.. Flank and attack.... Absolutely no head on...

Most valuable player in any team is the Medic... Sacrifice yourself to kill the medic at all cost... If ubered try to separate him from his buddy... Air blast

From what I've seen after 25 hours of play, Heavies on their own are useless, but the team with more Heavy+Medic pairs generally wins . Obviously this doesnt mean all people play heavy or medic, but the heavy-medic combination is like the main engine , with others playing support roles (i find this especially very true in payload maps)

Heavies on their own are useless

Today morning session at Starhub, goldrush, pushing cart

I got the uber, went ahead, put down 3 and a sentry, uber over, my medic FLED and I was alone. Took down another 5 guys, 3 of their team members were alive, to say, I took down 8 of the 9 dead members of their team in 20 seconds.

Absolutely disagree on the 1 Engi rule. The more the merrier! especially when defending.
Well what do I know, I have 83 kills from a single sentry :P.
